I got this for a family member as a Christmas gift and she absolutely loved it! The books are great and I think this is definitely a cute collectible to have! I would give it 5 stars if there was a hardcover version but the paperback is nice too. The paperback covers are made of a very smooth material and although the illustrations are different from the original, but I don't mind. Overall, I would definitely recommend this, especially if it is on sale!

Some pages actually fell out of one of my books on first read. Would not repurchase and am on the look out for a new box set.

Books are a Christmas present so I do not know if the books will be perfect. There has been many complaints about the Harry Potter books....eg crushed cases on the corners and double chapters in books, some books missing and sometime two of the same book in the case. I hope that what I received is a perfect set. Walmart had the best price, the packaging was perfect, all arrived on time and in great condition. Books look great through the cellophane. Hope all will be well on Christmas day.

The cover art is brilliant and the books are made perfectly so that you can read without the words past the margins and spine cracking. A wonderful add to my collection and perfect for other bibliophile collectors :)
An absolute perfect gift! I got it on sale which made the price better than anywhere else that was offering it. I got it for my brother's girlfriend and she's a HUGE Harry Potter fan! The covers are absolutely beautiful and the stories are as wonderful as I remember. Watching Harry grow up again in these books makes me remember when the books first came out. A true adventure every time I read them. The new covers and beautifully designed bindings just add to it :)
I've been so excited to finally start reading the Harry Potter books to my little ones. I got a great deal on this first one Used for only a couple of dollars, plus free shipping and no tax! The book has some writing in it that I didn't expect, such as underlining throughout, and some margin notes here and there. But overall, great buy. Of course, a great read! We'll be purchasing the second book of the series soon!
For the price, I was expecting better quality. Pages are kinda thin but i guess that’s just preference. The cover and back artwork is beautiful but it spills over into the spine messing up the picture of Hogwarts the combined spines are supposed to form. One of the books was defective. Pictures attached. All of the other reviews are positive so hopefully I’ll receive a better one when I exchange it.

We’ve owned 4 or 5 HP sets over the years in both paperback and hardcover. They are much loved and well read. This set was a gift for my teenage daughter. She loved the covers!!! The spines depict Hogwarts as you can see from the stock image, but the covers themselves are also quite lovely! I’ve included a photo of one. We’d priced these elsewhere and Walmart.com had the best price! Wonderful set!
