I brought this a month ago to make a firepit cover (still waiting on the firepit I want to be back in stock). I've cleaned it with the special stuff to leak out the tannins and put about 3-4 coats of varnish on it. I had it leaning up against a wall and it fell over in the wind and split clean in two - not very impressed! the glue holding the pieces together must not be as strong as I thought. Can't return because of the varnish etc so will have a go at trying to glue it back together :(
