I bought this swimsuit for my regular lane swimming - other swimwear was getting damaged by the chlorine. I really liked that it is made out of recycled plastic and the boy-short cut. However, it feels like Speedo has been very lazy in the design department with this swimsuit because it's just so uncomfortable to wear. I bought a size up from my usual size because I prefer swimwear slightly on the loose side, but even so after a few strokes it gave me the worst 'wedgie' ever! After every length I was tugging it down which made for an uncomfortable and frustrating swim. Examining the crotch area of the swimsuit I realised that rather than using a diamond of fabric where the seams meet like sports leggings tend to have, it instead has a wide strip of fabric that runs ... MoreI bought this swimsuit for my regular lane swimming - other swimwear was getting damaged by the chlorine. I wish I had checked this before I took the labels etc out as I'm now stuck with a swimsuit that I just don't want to wear. Hope Speedo pays more attention to the design of its swimsuits for elite swimmers!

Pros: I felt I got very good value for money as I picked sale items and not the latest, so very pleased on value. These recent purchases were to replace the same swimming costumes as previously purchased just bigger size. The older ones have been exposed to high UV, in salt water as well as chlorinated water and have suffered the inevitable fading but overall, stood the test of ageing well.Cons: Improve solid colour selection.

I have read many reviews regarding the quality of the material and been disappointed and reluctant to buy the same make as my current swimsuit. I have purchased a size 14 although I am normally size 10 to 12 a larger size gives me that extra length in the body. The quality of the fabric feels substantial and what I would expect from Speedo.

Pros: This Essential Endurance Legsuit is a good fit. I'm an average 12-14/medium size, so I purchased a size 38 (as always for the last 30 years). It feels comfortable when swimming lengths and doing deep-water aquagym exercises. The leg band especially does not dig in (it has no rubbered leg seam) and comes low enough to cover up hip-replacement scars. I'm over 70 but a very active 70+.Cons: The body length is a little too long for me (I'm 168cm) as it wrinkles a little around the middle and sides, so might be better for a taller person. It is slightly tight to take down the arm straps when taking the suit off (thus the 9 for Comfort/Fit) but I would not want the straps to be changed. However I'm happy with it nonetheless.
Pros: Dries quickly. Comfortable. Seems to stay stretchy and not at all baggy however much salt water is thrown at it as I swim daily in the sea. I do rinse it in fresh water. My old one coped very well with at least a decade of chlorine.Cons: I found the sizung has changed (got smaller) since I bought my first one over 10 years ago, which is a size 10 and still fits. The new one is a 12. Best to buy a size bigger than normal.
This is my second one of these suits and I love it! Great colour. Endurance fabric lasts really well. Doesn't sag or deteriorate. I'm a swimming teacher and a masters swimmer so plenty of chlorine time. Fit is great too. Good cut and comfortable on the shoulders.I highly recommend this.
I have 3 of these now, they’re just a good suit! It’s a great cut, that keeps everything where it’s supposed to be and looks great on.It’s also pretty hard core against chlorine like no other suit I’ve ever had. I swim 5 days a week, and most other suits last 3-6 months before developing see through patches. This doesn’t.I’ve had a black one of these for a couple of years, and although I mix it up and wear a couple of these suits, it still doesn’t have a single see through patch on it, and hasn’t lost its shape either!
I can’t believe it. There is no lining, no padding of the breast and nipple areas, just one single layer of thin fabric. I’ve bought lot of swimsuits over time and this is the first one. I tried it on-it compresses the breast tissue (depending on the breast size etc) but the nipples are still obvious. Embarrassing. My plan is to get my dressmaker to put a lining or padding in which is extra expense. The suit itself looks simple and nice, but I wonder how long this thin material will last. Not happy, sorry.
I bought this for my 14 year old daughter, as she feels self conscious and embarrassed by regular swimsuits which come up high on the leg. She's a typical Gen Z so isn't into shaving her pubic area, finding it unnecessary, 'sexist' and regrowth particularly uncomfortable (sorry if TMI!) We've been looking for something like this for ages, at a reasonable price, a bathing suit which 'covers all areas', but allows free movement and comfort in the water. This is perfect and she's super pleased with it. It looks great on and is a good fit. She's normally a 12 but curvy, so the 14 is perfect for her. I'd highly recommend this to any woman who likes to preserve their modesty!
The look is very stylish and it seemed suited to regular training as well. I really wanted a deep X-back with front support and was very glad when I found it. An added plus was the stylish mesh back. Unfortunately, that is where the good stopped. Upon trying it on, I immediately realized that it was meant for smaller chested individuals, up to a maximum C cup. The side is not cut to suit larger chested women and this causes the back mesh panel to pull a at the back as well. It is also prone bunching up in front as I swim with the result that I have to pull it sideways after every lap to avoid showing too much side-boob, which can be quite distracting. Speedos have always been my go-to swimsuit, in fact I go through 2-3 swimsuits every year which I rotate in training ... MoreThe look is very stylish and it seemed suited to regular training as well. Speedos have always been my go-to swimsuit, in fact I go through 2-3 swimsuits every year which I rotate in training (3-5 sessions per week), and this is unfortunately not one of the best fitting ones. I usually take a size 10, with a D cup, just to put this in perspective. In hindsight, I wish I had stuck with a less stylish but more functional product.
