Wahoo Speedplay easy-tension walkable cleats. Probably the best version of speedplay cleats I've fitted. Everything from the packing, instructions, and fitting was simple and straightforward. They really are 'easy tension' - a firm lock-in to the pedal but so easy to clip in and out. Wahoo have certainly spent some time time refining and improving upon the speedplay cleat/pedal combination.

Bought these to replace my

Bought these to replace my old worn out Speedplay Zero cleats. Installation was a breeze.. Did not have to use the shims on my Specialized shoes. These cleats are a perfect fit with the pedals. The easy tension release is fantastic!! So easy to clip and unclip. The extra bonus? The rubber cover that can be installed and used during use!!. No more carrying the old and expensive cleat cover that I would loose on a regular basis.. Great buy!!!

Easy Tension Cleats are OUTSTANDING !!

I replaced my original Speedplay worn out cleats with the new Wahoo Easy Tension ones. I ride a lot and unfortunately I have to unclip several times during the course of a ride. These new Easy Tension clips are great! They are much easier to clip into and to unclip. They still hold you in firmly and there is no play and there is no issues with coming unclipped during hard pedaling or at speed. Wahoo got it right with these cleats. Thanks for that.

Fast click into my Speedplay Zero pedals.

I have been using Speedplay Zero pedals with standard tension cleats for over 15 years It was always a little difficult to lock into the left pedal due to having a problem with that leg. Last year it was very difficult to get the pedals to engage properly. I purchased the Easy Tension Cleats to try them out. Wow! what a difference when trying to lock into the pedals It was much easier to clip into the pedals. I was a little afraid that the cleats would unclip unexpectedly but did not have that problem at all. I will be purchasing more of these cleats to put on my other road bike shoes.

Good product with a few flaws.

Certainly easier to get in and out of as compared to the standard cleat. The only negative point is related to the construction. Just as in the standard cleat, the housing for the spring is cheap stamped metal in which the slots for the screws don’t really line up well with the threaded holes in the baseplate. Three will but the 4th won’t. And the design causes interference between the steel plate and the screw heads which limits positioning of the plate. You can’t utilize all of the adjustability as compared to the old speedplay cleat design. But otherwise they work well.

I should never have had to purchase these

I have been a speedplay pedal user for 6 plus years. I purchased the aero pedals the end of May, along with a new pair of shoes. I was very disappointed when I could not clip in to my pedals with my new shoes. After several hours of help from friends, examination and adjusting from my local bike shop and time circling a parking lot attempting to clip in, I called Wahoo and was told that because of my small size, I would need the easy action cleats. No mention of this during purchase or on website. Also, there is no way for a rider of my size to purchase pedals that work for them, without spending the extra $55, as the pedals always come with standard action cleats. TOTAL RIP OFF!! Will advise my friends to avoid speedplay pedals.

Takes some tweaking

Without a torque screwdriver to be able to dial in the specific 22 inch pounds of tension; it took a bit a tweaking and trial & error to get them working correctly.Also using the cleats on a really old version of legacy speed play pedals which may have contributed to the finicky nature of the installation.But, once I got them dialed in they work awesome.

The cleats installed just like

The cleats installed just like the old speed play. However I am not sure if there any difference in design since there are made by wahoo. I have maybe the last generation speed play pedals and they seem to work well. They seem to hold well as I pedal. I can't seem to get a good snap entry as I clip in but this doesn't seem to effect the performance.

Very easy to use

I have never used SPDs or any other speedplay pedals before so I can’t compare them to anything.From my use so far the speedplay cleats have been very easy to use and clip in, all you have to do is stand into the pedal. I got this easy tension version as the beginning/end of my cycle routes have a lot of starting and stopping. However with a bit of massaging I got them in with out issue.Using these with the speedplay nanos (scored a pair for criminally cheap on eBay) and haven’t had any issue so far after. Just make sure to keep the cleats clean and clear of dirt and keep things lubed!

original cleats did not work for me.

First of all ley me say that I never give a 5 star review. The easy tension cleat is a life saver. When I purchased the speedplay road pedals (I have only ever used the Frog Pedal) I ws not sure how they would work. The pedal s were fine but I could not get the cleat to release. i didn't realize that there were two available type of cleat and the easy tension was the one I should have had. Un fortunately they are not available(?) when you order the pedals and have to be purchased separately. I ordered them and the problem was solved. Cleats and pedals work great.
