Boom! As soon as you spray Spicebomb it hits you with a massive dose of pink pepper. You can be standing across the room from it and you'll smell it after one spray. I cannot describe how loud (in the positive sense of the term) this is. It's a very captivating scent. If you smell really hard you can get the elemi/bergamot/grapefruit combination, but the pink pepper is going to be the thing everybody remembers. It's great. What's more, it also sticks around for the party being thrown by the middle notes. Out of these, it's the cinnamon that takes the dominant role and, again, it's a very fresh interpretation of the spice. This is a designer fragrance though so you should also be aware that there's also a huge dose of sugar (isn't there always?) in the top and middle notes. Unlike a lot of designers though, Polge doesn't overdo it - it's not sickly - and, in fact, it plays along with the cinnamon to create a smell you might find emanating from a (admittedly spicy) bakery. The other thing I really like about Spicebomb, and I'm not sure what creates it, is what I would hesitantly call an underpinning soapiness - it isn't just a load of dry spices and sweetness. There's an actual base going on below the top end and it smells wonderfully clean and mature. It's a world away from many of the other mainstream offerings that I don't feel like you could wear if you're older than 25. That grownup theme continues merrily into the dry down. If that doesn't entice you into giving Spicebomb a whirl though, let's talk about silage, because this thing carries beautifully. To my mind, it's the ultimate outdoor cold weather fragrance. If you want to make an impression walking down the street in your hat and scarf, this is the scent to wear. It's also going to get you compliments, because it conjures up reminders of the festive season in so many people. Of course, your greatest strength is your greatest weakness, and the power behind the beast means that it's probably not the best fragrance to wear indoors (not until it starts to dry down a touch anyway), and it's certainly not one for summertime.

An absolutely seductive winter fragrance.

I've wanted to try this fragrance ever since I saw the bottle two years ago, but I hadn't bought any because it was $120 for a 3oz bottle. I happened upon a bottle from Lily Direct Inc for about half that and jumped on it. Boy am I glad I did. It's a very masculine, spicy blend of cinnamon/pink peppercorn/bergamot with notes of vanilla and tobacco. It basically smells like a masculine poperie, which doesn't sound very enticing but trust me it's delightful. I can't stop bringing my shirt to my nose and deeply inhaling. I wouldn't recommend it for warmer weather because of how spicy it smells, but in winter or cold weather climates it truly comes alive. Now I just need to try the "extreme" version which I hear brings up the notes tobacco and vanilla.

At the show I was able to try out many top brand fragrances against each other. In the end I bought 5 of what I found to be the best fragrances that are in sync with my skin. Bottle looks like a grenade which sets up and visually emphasises what to expect once the contents of the bottle are released, an explosion of scents. Spice Bomb starts off with the scent if cinnamon, followed by tobacco and paprika, settling into a warm sweet and spicy concoction which includes leather, pepper and grapefruit. I would also not wear it to the office as in my opinion there are many other better fragrances suited to wear in the office environment. I would wear Spice Bomb more towards the late afternoon/evening, when I plan to go out with friends. I do get compliments when out, as this is a unique fragrance and stands out from most other fragrances. It will certainly remain in my scent collection, as for the price I feel you get moneys worth. Also bought Spice Bomb's female equivalent Flowerbomb Eau de Toilette Spray for Women 100 ml by Viktor & Rolf for the Wife and she loves it.

Do not use if you don't want attention or are introverted
11 March 2024

This came as part of a Christmas sample pack a few years ago. I am quite introverted, and prefer keeping to myself. It has an awesome scent that I love, so I bought a bigger bottle, and I like to wear it once in a while because of the delightful scent. Thing is, whenever I wear it, multiple women want to come up to me and strike random conversations, even hours later after I put it on. This normally does not happen when I'm not wearing this cologne. So beware if you prefer being introverted, or otherwise want to be alone while wearing it.

Empower by Viktor Rolf Spicebomb

Perfumes have the incredible ability to uplift our spirits and boost our confidence. One such perfume that embodies confidence is Viktor Rolf Spicebomb.Spicebomb opens with a burst of fiery spices that immediately grab your attention. The notes of pink pepper and cinnamon create a warm and invigorating sensation, setting the stage for an unforgettable olfactory experience. As the fragrance settles, the heart notes of cumin, saffron, and tobacco add depth and complexity, imparting an alluring and slightly smoky undertone. What sets this perfume apart is its ability to inspire self-assurance and make a statement. It is the perfect companion for important meetings, special occasions, or even daily wear when you need an extra boost of confidence.

Fave scent on my hubby
2 April 2024

First one came broken because there was no protective packaging in the box. The top of the bottle was smushed down into the bottle and the top glass was broken. MyPerfumeShop online said no return, but we called and immediately they said they would send another. The smell was perfect with both, but my only concern was the plastic packaging was not sealed. It was only partially closed, not even fitting all the way around. So I worried it was a knock off. But the scent is the same, and the longevity is great.

I didn't purchase my bottle of SpiceBomb from MyPerfumeShop but

I didn't purchase my bottle of SpiceBomb from MyPerfumeShop but thought I'd pass on my thoughts as to what this smells like and its performance. Have to say that I have had quite a few compliments when wearing this fragrance and my wife thinks its gorgeous. SpiceBomb has a lovely fresh fruity smell when first applied and doesn't come across as synthetic unlike some EDT's. As it starts to dry down the fruitiness gives way to a more sweet/spicy scent with undercurrents of cinnamon, tobacco, leather and vanilla which combine to offer a very warm, comforting fragrance. Silage on this is good and it projects very well for a good few hours after application, longevity is excellent and I can easily still smell occasional hints of it some 10 to 12 hours later. I don't understand the hype
16 January 2024

I love wearing the musky, masculine colognes. I saw reviews for Spice Bomb being one of the must-have fragrances for men, so I thought I'd give it a try. After wearing this for a couple days, I can honestly say I do not understand the hype. It's not musky at all, it's a very light scent. The fragrance lasts a good 4 hours at least, but the fragrance itself is reminiscent of what an elderly woman would smell like. Seriously, I smelled like I just came from a cribbage convention. By the end of the day, I couldn't stand wearing it.

I will be perfectly honest about this. The smell itself
28 February 2024

I will be perfectly honest about this. The smell itself lasts long, that cannot be denied. But the words 'Spice Bomb' insinuate an explosion of great smells that are strong and hit you. You would expect something different from the usual stuff. I will tell you right now, this smell is OK at best. It's just a bit bland, not what you expect from a 'Spice Bomb'. It's just not worth almost 80 pounds. You could pick yourself some Versace Blue Jeans from MyPerfumeShop and you'd get a similar smell. Huge disappointment.

As soon as the box came, I made sure the spicebomb was authentic. There are many ways to tell, but just search on youtube, for "how to know fake from real spicebomb". There's a video that goes in depth about all the subtle differences starting with the actual box. The biggest give away is if the grenade pin is flimsy and thin. The one I received was authentic. It's the first spicebomb I've ever owned, and just like they say, the ladies love it. My girlfriend loves it a lot, and we cuddled like no tomorrow. She had me spray it on her stuffed animal too so that when I'm away, she can smell it when she hugs it (we're long distance). That being said, I highly recommend this scent for those who want to cuddle. The scent isn't overpowering and is pleasant. It doesn't smell like a typical "cologne". The best part of my day is when I get to spray this on myself. I spray usually 3 times, sometimes 4 or 5, and the smell lasts all day (2 on neck, 1 chest, 1 wrists). Because the smell is lighter, it is okay to spray this much. Especially if you want it to last from morning to night when you cuddle with your girl. Sometimes I respray myself again at night, if I know I'm cuddling, cuz my gf loves it a lot!
