I bought this on a impulse as it popped up on my suggestion list and being a good price I went ahead and bought it. I did not check if it was actually suitable for my car which sadly turns out it simply doesn't fit!! But I did look at it when I got it out, the magnet is super strong and the car mount holder looks pretty good quality so was a little sad I could not use it. If it was right for my car I would still rate it the same.

Very strong magnet which holds my heavy combination (250g) of Samsung Galaxy Note 9 + stand case without any risk of dropping. I have yet to drive down a rutted back-country road, but so far it seems like it would hold in any condition. Also, the clamp on to the air vent is tight, so it is unlikely that the whole mount and phone will come off the air vent, which has happened with my previous mount.The magnet is strong enough to be effective with the metal plate stuck inside the case. Looking for a basic holder to clip to your vent? Then this is great. Slip the provided metal shims into the back of your cover or stick on - the are two, big and small in the box. Jam the mount into your vent. Done.The Cross wise slot fitting on mount, slots into vent. If your vent grill is too thick you might have problems.Another problem you might have is if your vent is sloppy; the weight of your phone will tilt down the vent. Or at an angle that doesn't work for visibility of your phone. But then there are other options that we better suit you.Can't beat this for the price of you have the vents that will work.

Simple product but extremely useful. My wife got sick of taking up space in the cup holders with our phones so this freed up space but also made it easier to view Google Maps or listen to music. I've bought a few of these now for me and my family. The magnets are really strong and easily work through a case even with a large heavy phone. The air vent clamping is strong enough for you to pull the phone off without releasing from the vent.They're also small enough to take with you when you travel.A great handy well priced (especially when they go one sale!) phone holder. Recommended.
