Nicely packaged , fun activity but the markers were DRY! Was really looking forward to share this old school activity with the kids but was highly disappointed that the markers were dried out, barely any ink… unless they are supposed to be like that? Luckily we had some fine tip markers at hand and used those instead.

I had a spirograph as a child and bought this for my Goddaughter. She was really excited but struggled with movingthe pieces smoothly. I tried to show her but did just a little better. Her mother and I recalled there was something in our kits that helped hold down the paper snd the pieces. There were push pins I believe. While I understand today they can't use push pins but there needs to be a way to hold down the pieces for small hands.

I purchased this kit as a gift for one of my family members. It has been getting used frequently by the rest of us-and is a fun activity for my two younger children (ages 6 and 8). The six year old has a bit of trouble getting the inner gear to rotate around the frame easily because she wants to move her pen too quickly. The only small issue I have with this set is that the markers included do not fit well in the holes of the inner plastic rotating pieces-so we have just been using ballpoint pens. The set included paper and a wide variety of different sized pieces so that varied designs can easily be accomplished.
I had a spirograph as a kid, and I’m happy to see they are still in circulation. I bought this for my niece and I’m excited to give it to her. I think adults would also find this enjoyable, especially people into sacred geometry and fractals.
I bought this for my middle-school classroom. We are using it in our "Kindness Station" so the thank you letters (to an adult in their lives) have some creative, decorative flair. As a child, I spent HOURS playing with a spirograph and I love that I can share this with my students! :)
It is a great creative toy. My father passed away 55 years ago and I remember that for the holidays that was the gift that my mother bought me .I loved it so much that I picked up a few for my grandchildren . It brought back the memories of how excited I was with that that creative toy at 10 years old
Unfortunately the clay that is supposed to hold the plastic was old and dried out. I had to return it and buy a newer model which worked well but didn't have as many plastic pieces to make as many nice designs. The child did like the newer model with the light and spinning piece but I would have preferred the original design for them to make cards.
I bought this specifically for my granddaughter so that she could do something other than watch television when she comes over. I was greatly disappointed in the “hard as rock“ putty that was to be used to keep the spirals attached to paper. The markers were also dried out making it necessary for me to purchase a multi color pen. This is so unlike the spirograph I remember using as a child.
Bought two of them for my two granddaughters ages nine and seven. They love using them to create designs. They have found that they have more success using a pencil/colored pencils than with the markers that came with the set. Something to keep in mind.
