As a consumer who enjoys using Splenda Sweetener Packets, I would rate it 3 stars out of 5. I’ve been using Splenda for years. I much prefer it over sugar. This is the 9.7 ounce granulated Splenda bag (I even scanned the barcode and the packets came up instead). I disagree that it sweetens like 5 lbs of sugar as claimed on the bag. I have always had to add more to beverages like coffee or tea so they taste sweet enough. I have used it for making many desserts into low carb favorites (cheesecake being one of them). When you are using this as a substitute for sugar in baking, sometimes only sugar can be used if it’s purpose is for other things than to sweeten, so recipes have to be further modified (maybe using the 50/50 blend). Sometimes it’s trial and error with baked goods.

I have been using Splenda for years as a sugar substitute and in my opinion has the best flavor out of all the substitutes available on the market. I had always purchased the individual packets to use in drinks or to sprinkle as a topping. Just recently, I have been trying new recipies that call for sugar substitutes and was excited to see Splenda in a pouch! I love how it is easy to use and to store. The zipper closure will keep the Splenda fresh in the cabinet. This measures equally to sugar, so, there is no need to convert or calculate how much you would need for your recipe. The bag also has a few nice recipes printed on the back (I’m not certain if they are the same on every pouch or not) which is a nice addition. Overall a great product and highly recommended!
Splenda Sweetener is an excellent alternative to Sugar. I have been using this as a sugar substitute for the past couple of weeks in my coffee and it adds just the right amount of sweetness without the sugar. I have tried other Sweeteners in the paste and they caused me extreme headaches.I have not found this to be the case with Splenda.Can’t wait to bake with Splenda!
I bought this for my dad who absolutely loves putting sugar on everything! Buy is diabetic and doesn't need it. Lol He was leary about switching over as most sweeteners cause a headache. He was very impressed and said he couldn't taste a difference. And will not switch back to regular sugar now. He can even have pies again as he uses Splenda in the pies in place of.
My husband and I have been trying to cut back on our sugar. This Splenda product makes it easier. We love to use it in our iced tea. We also use it in our cereal and oatmeal. I am looking forward to baking with it since the measurements are the same. There is no aftertaste and we can't even tell we are using a sugar substitute. Highly recommend if you're cutting back on sugar.
