I’ve been using Splenda for years. I much prefer it over sugar. This is the 9.7 ounce granulated Splenda bag (I even scanned the barcode and the packets came up instead). I disagree that it sweetens like 5 lbs of sugar as claimed on the bag. I have always had to add more to beverages like coffee or tea so they taste sweet enough. I have used it for making many desserts into low carb favorites (cheesecake being one of them). When you are using this as a substitute for sugar in baking, sometimes only sugar can be used if it’s purpose is for other things than to sweeten, so recipes have to be further modified (maybe using the 50/50 blend). Sometimes it’s trial and error with baked goods.

I am and always have been a Splenda girly!!! Honestly I can’t stand any other type of sugar! I just don’t think they fully absorb well into drinks (in my experience). Splenda is also calorie free so it’s an easy way to lower sugar intake. Also I think it tastes so good in coffee, tea, smoothies, etc. in general!! If it haven’t, check it out!

I've used Splenda packets in my coffee since the first time I saw them in the grocery store! I believe it's been over 20 years actually, wow! Two decades! In the late 1990s the commercials aired for months before it even came to Minnesota! I still Remember the anticipation of this sweetener made from REAL sugar that wasn't your usual teeth rotting, weight gaining, granulated sugar. A Sweetener in a packet that wasn't going to taste like those unnamed blue or pink packets; made with something most people still can't say.. fellanellfelnlaheen... the obviously not sugar sweetener that my grandma had always used. 'm not gonna lie, I used the blue packets for years, I still don't know the real difference from the pink, but i liked the color blue so I picked that one. ... MoreI've used Splenda packets in my coffee since the first time I saw them in the grocery store! So in the late 90s when the scientist released stories about this phenylalanine possibly causing cancer... that made me and most everyone else, scared to consume anything artificially sweetened; like "light" or "diet" colas and dressings such. Yea, I got nervous, figured I probably had the Equal cancer already! Reluctantly yet rapidly I switched back to sugar. Then, with perfect timing to save the people from fellanelafll... whatever cancer, meet Splenda!! Droppin down in the eye of the Storm with lil yellow relief packet🤣 how Spledid indeed!

Cant live without my Splenda
25 August 2024

I absolutely can't live without my Splenda! I use it in my coffee, tea, lemonade and sprinkle it on my oatmeal. I use more packets a day than I'm willing to admit! It just doesn't give you that odd aftertaste like other artificial sweetners (the pink and blue packets) do. I buy 2 of the 1000 packet boxes every time i go to Sam's just for personal use. Have to have my Splenda!

Household Staple, Multiple Benefits

I'm a Splenda user, and when I decided to change my lifestyle to be healthier back around 2015 by eliminating bad carbs, Splenda was my go-to sweetener.Fiber is one of the ways carbohydrates (which basically convert into sugar in the body) are offset by the metabolism, and if you are not burning it, the fiber helps make sure it is not staying with you. We all need fiber in our diets, anyway.Since Splenda, like all products, has some small trace carbs, I decided this would be an ideal true net zero product. And it really is. So one benefit is that it really means whatever you use it on won't have added carbs OR calories if calories are the thing you are worrying about.I cannot taste the difference. So one benefit is that it really means whatever you use it on won't have added carbs OR calories if calories are the thing you are worrying about.I cannot taste the difference. I suppose people who can are perhaps eating it with a spoon? In addition to eliminating many types of food, I have learned to add things and become creative. I gradually just did away with carbonated beverages, even the ones that are "diet", and began enjoying the wide, wide world of tea. I'm sadly getting to the age when I cannot tolerate caffeine any more. Coffee makers are just not catering to us by providing interesting decaf flavors and variety - and neither are makers of much anything else. However, herbal tea is naturally without it, so different kinds of tea like mint, rose, lavender, apple, orange, pear, cinnamon, ginger, and many more and combinations thereof have been a joy, and the Splenda with fiber is the sweetener I use. I got an electric kettle. In hot weather I allow it to cool and drink it cold; in cool weather I drink warm or hot. This helps with cravings for sweets, too. (It's now 2018 and I have lost over 100 pounds I did not need.)I've also recommended this to people taking medications which cause binding problems with bowels...it is easier than trying to remember other kinds of fiber supplement if it is something you just use. So the benefit of helping with regular elimination consistency is the other thing. (But in my experience, adding it as a new user is not so much that it will mess you up ...unless you eat spoonfuls of it.) It is not going to mean you never have to eat another vegetable or fruit again, however! My one beef with Splenda is that this is only available in the 80-count boxes, and it should be available like their other products...in larger quantities. I work from home boarding dogs here, and don't get out often. Being able to get a bulkier supply would really help.(If you believe your product is great, it should not be treated like something people would only purchase in a smaller size. At just one packet per cup, 2 cups per day, it would last just over one month. I'm drinking far more beverages than that.)I also used the B-12 kind of Splenda, but only in the morning, when that was around.I'd say that this is similar to iodized salt...beneficial in many ways, not something you will notice, and very worthwhile.NOTE: Packets themselves are a little heavier and harder to open because it is important to keep the fiber DRY. I don't really take issue with this, but it is a notable difference if you have both kinds of packet in the same little dish on a table.

Life being lived sweetly

I have been using Splenda since it came out. It truly does taste like sugar I use their individual packets, the granulated, my favorite brown sugar and the new liquid I have also purchased a Splenda vanilla creamer for my tea. Splenda alluose has came out and I will be trying that next. Life being lived sweetly. Thanks

The Other Sweetener
27 April 2024

We find Splenda do be the only sweetener that does not have an off flavor to us. We have been using it for years. I know there are those that consider it a health risk and this does bother me but we have tried natural sweeteners and all have after taste that we do not care for. We do use Monk Fruit in some dishes, but I drink sweet tea year around and Splenda really helps reduce my calorie intake.
