Better than splendor

This game is A fantastic two player game. I enjoyed this much more than regular splendor, which was just meh to me as an overall game. I enjoy the multiple paths you can take to victory along with really good choices and a great variability based upon the way the chips come out which adds Just the right amount of luck or risk however you look at it.

Glittering Gems

Splendor Duels is a great little two-player game, if you like classic Splendor grab this little jewel. Enough of a twist on the play that it's not too similar but still is, if that makes sense. Cute fun little components, good, tactile feel. Looks like there's room for sleeved cards in the insert too.

Great 1 vs 1 game

Splendor Duel is a great 2 player game with simple rules. As the game advances, most turns won't have a direct best move, since your opponent has their own agenda and will react to your actions quickly. All our games have been tight, with a player winning only a couple of turns before the other could claim their victory.

New Favorite Game!

I'm new to board games and this is my favorite one yet! It's a bit more involved than my other two games (Azul and Cascadia) but if you want a game that you can really chew on but still has pretty easy rules then this is a great choice. Each game feels varied depending on what jewelery cards are available and executing plans as opportunities open and close is so satisfying when you manage to make it work. If you're interested in this game I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Splendor Duel

Lot more strategy than the original Splendor since you can only pick gems from the board in a certain pattern. The three win conditions make this more fun. Small size box makes it more portable for traveling.

Splendor Duel

This is a nice variant of an old familiar game in our household. It offers some new mechanisms, a new resource, and different winning conditions than the original Splendor. The tokens and cards are smaller, but the addition of a resource board means it still takes up about the same amount of table space. We are finding the new cards to be a little more difficult to read, and the first few games have felt much slower than the Splendor we are used to. I imagine we'll get used to it after a few more plays, but it does seem a little more complex (which is not a bad thing, as Splendor is fairly lightweight to begin with).

Splendor Duel Review

Splendor Duel is in the same line of games like 7 Wonders Duel and Kingdomino Duel. I have played Splendor Duel 8-10 times now and my experience with the game has only gotten better with each and every play! This game is very fun and engaging and I love how the privilege scrolls add to the overall strategy of the game.

Surprisingly challenging and exciting head-to-head take on a classic

Initially I was a little perplexed; wasn't the original Splendor already a solid two-player experience? Then I played this and was pleasantly surprised. The same rush of excitement as the original, only now it's a battle of wits with multiple routes to victory and a wonderful grid system that keeps every match fresh with no two games ever playing out the same way. Highly, highly recommended, especially with fans of the original.
