Decent new SpongeBob game, though I kinda felt the first game was better. This one you can only play as SpongeBob, but at least Patrick is there in form through the entire game so that's a plus. Graphics are definitely improved over the old game. Story is interesting enough and you get to see new worlds along with a few old.

This is a good and fun game. Overall the main story was completed in 7 hours. Compared to Battle for Bikini Bottom this game is way too easy. It seems like they removed a lot of content from the older games/remake and cranked it out. This game does come with a free upgrade for the PS5 version. In reality this game should not be more than $20.

Great game! I love the music and level design, it’s fun and has brilliant call backs to the show. I love how they brought back all the original voices actors as well, it really brings back the nostalgia for me. I really enjoyed playing this game, it’s super memorable.

It’s just not a very fun and captivating game. The SpongeBob Rehydrated game is muuuch better. Better level design, dialogue, voice acting, story. It just isn’t there with this one, imo. I’ll give it 2 stars because it plays, it runs, it’s serviceable I guess. Just not very fun.
Cosmic Shake does what SpongeBob games do best; casual/fun gameplay, stays true to the source material, and is unique in it's own right. Battle For Bikini Bottom was always everyone's favorite entry in the SpongeBob franchise, but this game may take the crown with time! Cosmic Shake excels as a platformer and provides the right amount of nostalgia for old-time fans, while managing to entertain younger fans of the franchise as well.
Mann… I used to play all the SpongeBob as a kid and when I heard that a new one is coming out, the nostalgic train hit me and I pre ordered on the spot and as I was playing it the game was visually amazing ! Story was decent but one problem I ran to that if you can relate you’ll run to too… it’s too easy. I know it’s a kids game and it’s supposed to be easy but the option got a difficulty would solve that. I still enjoyed this game and the fact it’s 40$ on release is something I’m glad to support .
This game made me a bit sad as a huge SpongeBob fan who loves Battle For Bikini Bottom. The budget price isn’t a reflection of a bad game but certainly one not being given the chance to do everything its developers probably had in mind. As a follow up to BfBB, it’s odd to see the game handcuffed, literally alluding to things you’d want to play as a game level or coming up with the perfect way to continue the story, but the results are so much blander than what you can picture. It’s a charming, funny game with lots of variety, but lacking polish and energy that I feel confident blaming on Viacom and their stinginess when it came to letting Purple Lamp swing for the fences

The gameplay is the same as that of a generic 3D platformer. Levels consist of linear sections, collectathons and slide/riding parts. SpongeBob gains more abilities as the game progresses which keeps it interesting however if you are not a SpongeBob fan the platforming gameplay might not be engaging enough for you. It took me less than 10 hours to beat and I didn't have feel any intent to go for 100% completion. Lastly the game struggles to run on Switch as it has many frame rate drops but they luckily don't effect gameplay. If you have a PlayStation or Xbox you may consider purchasing the game there. I also encountered many glitches in the game where the story was not progressing so I had to close and reload the level to fix it
The game is pretty fun, and my favorite world was Jelly Glove World because of the atmoshpere and the looming silloette of the Krusty Krab in the distance. Also liked the costumes especially the RoboBob costume. But some of the cutscenes did start and end suddenly. Overall its a 10/10, 1 point for having the little Mr.Krabs in Prehistorc Kelp forest.
i bought this game today for my Nintendo oled, i love how the story parts are like mini movies and the game itself looks pretty good graphic wise, the actual game play is okay not amazing but not horrid. ive definitely played better. i think it should be priced around like $25 not almost $40
