Squid Brand Fish Sauce is an authentic Thai fish sauce made from fresh anchovies and salt, naturally fermented for 18 months to achieve a high-quality fish sauce rich in natural protein. This gives the fish sauce a fragrant aroma and a clear, reddish-brown color. Free from added preservatives, colorings and MSG. With its robust flavor, Squid Brand Fish Sauce is ideal for use in everything from stir-frying, soups, dipping sauces, curries, fried dishes, marinades and salads. Fish sauce is an essential liquid seasoning in Southeast Asia and has a strong fishy smell. However, don't be put off, as in hot dishes it evaporates and only leaves its aromatic salty umami flavor. Fish sauce can be used instead of salt in Thai cuisine. For the dressing: Mix 10 parts water with 1 part fish sauce, sugar, lime and chili. The mixture should taste sour, sweet, salty and spicy.

Nothing beats cooking with fish sauce. I think we cook with this everyday. Majority of Vietnamese food, if not all, is cook with fish sauce. We use this particular brand since I was little and I still use it till this day. Very satisfying taste.

Highly recommended when cooking Southeast Asian foods. Fish sauce provides lots of flavor to your meals. Careful not to put too much otherwise it'll be salty. Even if you don't use it for cooking, they make great side sauces as well. Such as cutting up fresh peppers and sprinkling some fish sauce over it. Use that for your Asian soups, and BAM! FLAVOR!

Squid Fish Sauce (not made with squid by the way, it's just the brand) is THE best fish sauce. It's full of flavor, much more so than the 3 Crab brand (which I notice is about twice the price also). This is the brand most Thai folks use. I have literally bought cases of this at a time. You can put this even in stews or chili's and it adds another depth of rich flavor. A pantry must.

At my household, we always have two kind of fish sauce, Squid and 3 Crab. I personally enjoy 3 Crab more because it is the flavor that I grew up with. But Squid is also pretty good. To me, I feel like 3 Crab has more depth in it's flavors while Squid is a little more on the lighter side. As a current university student, I tend to buy Squid brand more often as it is often cheaper and the bottle is lighter to carry with me with I am taking the public transit.
The Squid Fish sauce is definitely the BEST fish sauce on the market and I refuse to buy any other fish sauce. It got an amazing taste and makes everything 10x more delicious. I cook a lot of Asian dishes so this is definitely a must have in my kitchen.
Very affordable fish sauce in the market. I use this one to cook my food most of the time. I got it at Superstore (Canada). I used to use another kind of fish sauce to cook but they are quite expensive: around $7 CAD when it is on sale. Bottom line: I would totally recommend this fish sauce. Good price and decent quality!
Always need fish sauce in almost every asian recipe I make. It basically is alternative of salt but with flavor. A little goes a long way so don’t use too much! If using too much can make your dish super salty! But just enough gives food amazing flavor! You can almost find this everywhere and it’s cheap! I like this brand for my fish sauce!
One of the best fish sauces we tried. We cook a lot of asian/Thai dishes and fish sauce is a must! Even when used in traditional western cuisine, it just gives it that certain kick, in a way like Maggi does. Try it in your salad dressing, just a splash, along with lime juice and a bit of palm sugar. It does not make your dish taste "fishy"! Do not be put off by the smell, experiment with the sauce. We prefer it to soy sauce.
I have been paying a lot of money for a small bottle of a well known brand of fish sauce for many years. This is a great big bottle and full of flavour. I added it to a kedgeree and 'boom' it became a yummy lunch instead of bland leftovers. Very salty flavour and not fishy. Like a strong soy sauce.
