Unfortunately the guitar frets were protruding making it impossible to play comfortably. I returned the guitar for a full refund. On the plus side I found the GAK customer service to be excellent. I have never bought a guitar on line before but I will not hesitate to order another guitar from GAK. They are an excellent company to deal with and I would recommend them without reservation.

The Affinity's and Bullet models are generally good Stock Instruments! But they need a good professional setup and sometimes a replacement of parts until they are really useful and well playable. I often heavily modify them for customers, (a lot professionals), and they just love them! But if I would give this Guitar just like it is out of the box to my little friend, he would have a bloody hard time with it!! This one is no exception. But don't think if you spent £1000 on a Guitar you have no problems and no setup to do! You just have spent lots more money!!

A good experience

I was looking for a quality entry level electric guitar for my son. A Fender Squier seemed like the way to go. The buying experience was a good one, the salesman was well informed efficient and effective. My son and I are happy with the purchase.

Exactly what I was hoping for

This guitar is exactly what I was hoping for when I got it. I live in an apartment building and wanted something that I could practice with more quietly than my acoustic while learning. I do not have a lot of experience in rating guitars, but I have greatly enjoyed learning on this. Would buy again.

It has all the fundamentals of a Fender Stratocaster. The only major differences are where it was made and the quality of the components. These guitars are currently being made at the Yako factory in China. I have other guitars that were made there twenty years ago, and they've held up just fine with no issues. If you're experienced and are looking to add the Strat sound to your arsenal, this is a less expensive way to do it. If you're new to playing, these are great starter guitars, but like all new guitars it should be set up by a professional. Also, I strongly suggest that you have the bridge blocked, as these guitars rarely stay in tune while using the whammy bar. Review of Squier Affinity Stratocaster Electric Guitar in Lake Placid Blue

For the price a good looking, good sound guitar. Having not played a guitar since my younger days I wanted something to help bring back my limited skills and this is just the job.

Tldr; Its good.

Was a little hesitant to order a guitar from the internet especially with fender low end guitars' reputation. This guitar is amazing though. Fretboard was dry out of the box. Gotta get some chicken grease on your fingers before playing. The silver color had a bit of blue when the light hit it. Grew to love it. The signal coming from this guitar was cleaner than some Mexican strats I've had. Might be the expensive cable I'm using but it's connected to the fender champ 20w room amp and it's clean enough to get metal tones without getting noisy at all. The pickups on these Squiers have come a long way. Was kind of expecting a little more honk from them. It's the best guitar per dollar if you're music taste is all over the place and need a guitar to do everything.
