If you like taking your derailleur completely off every time time you replace the cable the latest SRAM 11 speed ders are for you. The routing is so impossible and has so many hang ups and kinks you need a new cable with soldered tip to prevent cable fraying, 3 hands, needle nose pliers, and pick to get it routed. SRAM engineers must have a running contest to see which design will piss off mechanics and customers the most.
If you want very good low end and still want a reasonable high end this is the product. It allows the use of 10-42 cassette and 28-38 crank set and shifts crisply across the entire range.PROS: Works, Easy To Install, LightweightCONS: NONEBEST USES: Great Capacity, Road Biking
Smooth and precise! Not sure any other derailleur can handle this wide range of 2x11.
My friends say that my MTB is a "bikesntain", this because it has pieces of Shimano and SRAM brands. I feel that Shimano is more durable, but SRAM feels more effective, so I make the combination of both to not make preference one over another. This Rear Derailleur is wonderful. I think it's equivalent to Shimano's XT, but much softer. Love it!
Simple to adjust and the new cable attachment system is very tidy.
This derailleur works great and the clutch does a very good job at keeping chain slap to a minimum. Shifts are quick and precise, it holds gears despite hard thrashing through rock gardens. Would buy again.
