Pregnancy pushes your body nearly as much as extreme endurance sports. SRC Recovery garments aid in the treatment of C-section wounds, Perineal trauma, Episiotomy wounds, Abdominal muscle separation (Diastasis Rectus Abdominus Muscle DRAM), Lower back pain. Unlike postpartum belly bands, SRC Recovery Shorts can treat multiple conditions, are more comfortable to wear and are more likely to be worn for longer periods therefore increasing their effectiveness. Muscle deactivation will occur if you pull the postpartum belly band too tight when putting it on. Postpartum belly bands should only be worn for short periods, 2-3 hours to prevent deactivation of your muscles. For information on health fund rebates, see here .

I’m going to get my new third short now that it’s surely proven to be very effective for any mum regardless of the mode of delivery.Thank you for this wonderful product.

Great Recovery Shorts
12 May 2023

I wore this 5 days after my C Section and it gave me so much support. Before putting it on my core was wrecked so getting up was an actual job for me. Things like going to the toilet and even breathing was a challenge those 1st couple of days. After putting it on the relief I had… I first started wearing it during the day only for a few days then moved to wearing it to sleep as well. Takes a bit of practice putting it on but you get use to it. I’m usually a size AU 12 - 14 so Large was perfect. It’s very tight when u first wear it but the good kind. Holds everything without feeling like u can’t breathe. Very comfortable and breathable under clothing. I wish I wore it with my first pregnancy. Overall I’d say its a MUST for postpartum recovery and worth every cent. ... MoreI wore this 5 days after my C Section and it gave me so much support. Label comes off easy
30 March 2023

I was given a pair from my sister and loved them, so purchased two more for myself. The new ones label rubbed off with the first wear, unlike the pair a few years old that I was given (which still looked new, label intact ). The elastic at the top is also more flimsy and sort of folds up and doesn’t sit straight without some manoeuvring (again, unlike the pair a few years old). Once on, they can also be sweaty to wear ( new and old pair, both)BUT- they do what they are designed to do. My tummy and back feel supported, and from the first wear I was seeing the benefits. It increased my loss in the early days, this might be due to my muscles contracting? I was able to wear them under jeans, they actually helped the jeans fit better, and no muffin top as it smooths ... MoreI was given a pair from my sister and loved them, so purchased two more for myself. The minor problems are only in comparison to an older pair, which were perhaps manufactured differently.

Live in these! They're essential for my mobility!

Absolutely love the recovery shorts! I experienced traumatic childbirth injuries and these have been essential in my long recovery, I wear them every day.I had a large separation of my abdominal muscles and these helped immensely, which allowed my muscles to come back together and I had better abdominal function soon after. As previously mentioned these have been essential in my recovery from open book fracture of the pelvis, with diastasis of the pubic symphysis and instability of sacroiliac region. Initially I was in a wheelchair, but I have since moved on to crutches (I am 20 months pp) , they reduce the pain and fatigue, and have given me support which enables me to do the exercises required so that I can recover from my birth injuries. Must Have Post Birth

These shorts are awesome! I bought an XL towards the end of my pregnancy. I had a missed preeclampsia diagnosis and was resting so much fluid. Now - I’m down 35 lbs in fluid and although I haven’t remeasured myself postpartum to see if the XL is still the best size- it feels great!I ended up delivering via emergency c section and just started wearing the shorts at 3.5 weeks just due to my range of motion coming back - took some more time with recovering from preeclampsia still. These shorts not only make my core feel supported but my lower back too where I feel so much tightness and pain. Thank you SRC for another great product !

Must have post partum
3 February 2023

2 weeks postpartum and I live in these shorts - only taking them off to wash them and I put them straight back on!The most comfortable material with excellent wuality and looks good enough to wear out or discreet enough to wear under things. My GP commented how everything is recovering nicely and I feel like wearing these shorts every day has really helped the process along. The process to claim these on my private health insurance was really easy with the form that was provided by SRC. I feel really great wearing them and I’m really glad I bought these at the recommendation of friends who also loved them in their postpartum journeys.

Some discomfort
12 September 2022

I can see the quality of make in this product, However they cause me a fair bit of discomfort. So much so that I remove them after a few hours of wear. But I still keep trying. It’s been 2.5 weeks now that I’ve been waiting to feel comfortable enough for all day use.The band that sits high across your ribs is hard like plastic, so consider if that would annoy you. Saying this though when I put them on I feel “pulled together” in all the right places. Most of my discomfort come from the top waist line and around my perineum where my stitches are. I feel no pain from my stitches in normal underwear, the pants seem to amplify any irritation on my stitches.I measured exactly as recommended using somebody else to help. Worth the money!
27 July 2022

In my first pregnancy with twins, I had an emergency c-section I couldn't afford to buy these recovery shorts and decided it was go without. It was too expensive and decided that the money would go a long way with raising the twins. The recovery was long, I ended up with long term lower back pain, continence issues and abdominal separation of over 2cm.Fast forward 5 years later, my second pregnancy (with a singleton) I am faced with no other option but another c-section. Being older and I'd dare say wiser, (but no richer)… I bought a pair of mini recovery shorts ($30 off but had to pay for shipping which came to $171, put it on afterpay, like everything else lol) and packed them with my hospital bag. After the c-section and when the spinal had worn off its effects. ... MoreIn my first pregnancy with twins, I had an emergency c-section I couldn't afford to buy these recovery shorts and decided it was go without. I was in a whole lot of pain, which resulted from a lot of bruising around the uterus. I was unable to get out of bed without assistance and was on a whole lot of pain killers to help numb the pain. As the bruising started to subside, and it was no longer tender to the touch I decided to put on my SRC mini shorts. For the first time in days was I able to walk around the house without holding onto the walls. I was no longer crouching my back. I was able to roll out of bed without pain. I even went as far as reducing my pain medication.I definitely recommend SRC mini shorts @srchealth it's an essential item to include in your hospital bag. Definitely, worth the money! No regrets!I would not have the independence like simply doing my daily routines without them.I'd love to own another pair of SRC mini shorts as I now wear these 24/7. It's like my second skin. I'd like to see the effectiveness of continence issues and management of abdominal muscle separation.
