I much prefer several of the Blackwing pencils and the Uni pencils for writing and for underlining and annotating books. The several Staedtler's I bought are rarely used. I do drawing/sketching on a daily basis as a hobby. Staedtler pencils are normally the ones I use, their a good quality for the price.
It’s so smooth. I tried the pencil from General and they are not as smooth as this. It sits comfortably in my hands as well! The lead is not too thin. It’s just amazing.
I HAVE SEEN SEVERAL ARTIST USE AND LIKE THESE PENCILS. I HAVE TRIED MANY AND LIKE THE FEEL OF THIS IN MY HANDS AND ON PAPER. I GOT THIS AS AN EXTRA TO GO WITH MY 12 PIECE SET AS IT IS ONE THAT WILL BE USED A LOT. I LIKE THAT I CAN BUY SINGLES TO REPLACE ONES YOU USE THE MOST. TRY ONE I DON'T THINK YOU WILL BE DISSAPPOINTED.
I mean I love this pencil, wish they made packs that came with 4 of the same instead of just the varying darknesses would make it a lot easier on the cost sometimes. But other than that if you are starting to really get into art and you know how to shade I recommend there for sketching or shading.
I use an HB pencil for sketching a lot and heard good things about Staedtler before, and I am SO glad I tried it! This is my new default sketching pencil.
I’ve been using this pencil brand for over a decade, and this is must-have item for artist cause we need various sturdiness pencil like H,H2,H4 something like that to draw things in detail or express thinner or darker. So yeah this pencil is good!
Great sketching pencils. Sharpened tip lasts a while and the quality control is excellent. Graphite darkness is consistent everytime.
