After having ordered a first example of the product, I received it dead on arrival (the light where the iron "goes through" the base is manufactured with a 1.5 mm thickness between the right and the left, making it impossible to configure the device by twisting). The product was replaced quickly (less than 4 days) by Stanley and the new plane is just simply perfect. The quality is excellent, it can be configured simply and efficiently. In short, it is a good plane, that I would recommend. I therefore left 4 stars instead of 5 but only because of this first misstep, otherwise I would have left a 5.

The sole at a game of 4 hundredths diagonally, it will have had to rectify (which is the case on most planes mid-range) but the blade is perfectly flat and a slight regrinding will have made the tool functional. For the price it's a gift. In 20 years we will talk about it again.
Good solid plane. Blade was sharp right out of the box. Bottom will need some polishing to get all the roughness out but that is specific to the individual. Happy with my purchase.
Absolutely not flat sole. Suddenly the sole is to resume entirely and by hand I do not count the hours it would take me to make it perfect ... The iron is obviously to resume too. As for the rest of the planer's body, it is also not very well finished. If I had known, I would have ordered a plane twice as expensive but at least it would have been functional in 30min.
Good little block planer, but does NOT come with a pouch for convenient storage - the product description online is incorrect.
Have one of these as a hand me down from my grandfather and it's one of my go to planes for day to day work. the angle is low enough for smooth detail and it can be quickly adjusted for more bite when needed. The construction is incredibly bulletproof and it's one of my favorites for shaping funiture pieces from reclaimed wood. If your just a collector it's easy to walk away from but if you also use planes daily this is a great add on to the box.
The one i purchased had a concave sole. I tried to straighten it using wet sandpaper on a glasplate. I scrubbed that cast iron for 4 days in the evenings and didn't get close to a straight sole. It's fairly useful, now, but far from perfect. The sides aren't square as well. The cutter cuts quite well after honing and does fine shaves while you plane the wood ROUND! Overall if you are just after getting a cheap blockplane, go ahead and buy the cheeapest lump you can get and do the afterwork yourself. Don't care about trademarks, here. OR get a real old one second hand, that has been in the hands of skilled woodworkers for generations before. Or do yourself a favour and buy top-class at thrice the price (at least)...
Small planer of good quality. It is quite heavy, an asset for this kind of product. The sharpening of the blade takes a long time. A must for every carpenter
