After having ordered a first example of the product, I received it dead on arrival (the light where the iron "goes through" the base is manufactured with a 1.5 mm thickness between the right and the left, making it impossible to configure the device by twisting). The product was replaced quickly (less than 4 days) by Stanley and the new plane is just simply perfect. The quality is excellent, it can be configured simply and efficiently. In short, it is a good plane, that I would recommend. I therefore left 4 stars instead of 5 but only because of this first misstep, otherwise I would have left a 5.

The planer is good, the materials look good, it inspires confidence. There is some small adjustment to make for a good use and a sharpening can prove useful to have a good result.
The sole at a game of 4 hundredths diagonally, it will have had to rectify (which is the case on most planes mid-range) but the blade is perfectly flat and a slight regrinding will have made the tool functional. For the price it's a gift. In 20 years we will talk about it again.
Although I am far from a professional cabinetmaker, the product suits me very well. The product is worth more than its price. Thank you.
Absolutely not flat sole. Suddenly the sole is to resume entirely and by hand I do not count the hours it would take me to make it perfect ... The iron is obviously to resume too. As for the rest of the planer's body, it is also not very well finished. If I had known, I would have ordered a plane twice as expensive but at least it would have been functional in 30min.
For the price it is not folded sheet but cast iron (aluminum I think). So we have a very heavy planer. Excellent for finishing and breaking edges.
Small planer of good quality. It is quite heavy, an asset for this kind of product. The sharpening of the blade takes a long time. A must for every carpenter
