The metal saw horse is a quality product, as expected from Stanley. It is well constructed, strong but relatively light. The pair are also easy to transport as they clip together and take up very little space. As they are made from aluminium, you do have to be careful not to damage them when sawing, especially if using power tools.

This is an excellent product. It's lightweight, robust and folds up to take up very little storage space. It is a good price and value for money. I've used it daily for the last week to construct & paint a new picket fence and paint an old one. Being metal, it is easy to clean and remove splashes of fence paint from it. I should have bought this years ago rather than struggle to balance things off unsuitable objects, like my garden bench and bins. I would recommend this as an essential product for any DIY activity.

The main advantage of these is that they fold up easily to form a compact bundle for transport. They are very easy to set up but do wobble a bit in use. Height adjustment would also be good for a tall user but you can't have everything at that price. They are ok.

These replaced the larger Stanley saw horses I had worn out. They did feel slightly flimsy when I 1st opened them however I've now got used to them and find them really stable. The leg locking pins work really well but are easy to undo. The plastic clips on the ends are the weak point and I don't understand why Stanley don't use a metal version, hence only 4stars. I glued a timber strip to the top which is 1.2mt to match a ply sheet and allows me to cut over the top without hitting metal.
As a plumber, I bought these for cutting shower panels on, money well spent. I have tried the other black plastic Stanley sawhorses, they are hopeless, they blow over in the wind, they fall down if you try to move something too quick. These benches in comparison are much better, more sturdy, heavier and robust, ignore the comments about wobbling, they have to be set out on even ground and a couple of quid more. They clip together for easy storage, even stand on their end. Money well spent.
Bought these for the compact design , actually used some before but forgot about the stability issue . Take care when moving your supported item , it’s likely to drag the horse and topple it . As long as you are aware it’s bearable . If space is an issue in your van they’re worth having , if you require strength and stability maybe not . Overall they’re good .
Light weight with a narrow leg spread makes these a little unstable.They clip together and the light weight makes them easy to carry and store, but they were not robust enough for the job I was doing so I returned them and spent twice as much on something better.You get what you pay for.
Working out of a small van, these are brilliant. Decent shape for clamping and shoulders can even be used to securely clamp boards on their edges to easily run an electric plane over them. They fold and clip together into one little package which makes transport and storage easy. Would recommend to anyone who doesn't need something ultra heavy duty but would benefit from something compact and easy to transport.
A good design, light, strong and compact. The description is confusing, the dimensions of the top bar are 80 x 2.5 x 2.5 cm. So not much space to clamp to when cutting, and a slight wobble, but good for a mobile table or worktop. Good value for money and easy to store. The height when open is 73.6 cm, see Stanley website for details. Would be even better if the height was adjustable, and with extra braces at the ends. Some rubber pads covering the top surface would help, and possibly some pre-drilled holes to securely attach a 2x4 to the top bar.
Wanted a trestle as much more adaptable than cranked workbenches. This product is well-priced, seems sturdy enough so far, folds down neatly and is easy to transport. Only niggle is the little yellow rubber pads on the top surface which I presume are supposed to offer grip to anything placed on top. Every single unit in stock either had at least one of the four missing or they were bent well out of shape. Seems a flimsy oversight on Stanley's part.
