The Stanley IntelliLaser Pro laser line level and stud finder makes picture hanging easy. The laser helps keep the layout straight and the stud finder helps find a sturdy place to hang even the heaviest pictures. It helps with projects around the house too. Great little tool.

Absolute Garbage

Does work ok on some walls but most of the time will just beep constantly that there is a stud. As for the electrical detector, it works ok and just gives an indication that there is power near buy. Would not recommend this product for the price. I have a $20 one that works better.

Does what it says, easy to use

Works well at finding wooden studs behind plasterboard. Quite sensitive to AC wires, even when they’re not in the wall but in an adjacent wall.Takes a 9V battery and does NOT come with one! It doesn’t say this on the packet - wish it did, I would have bought one at the same time rather than have to make another trip.

Extremely Disappointed

Bought it new and installed new battery. Unit would not calibrate. It would not find studs, it would just beep beep beep all the time unit side button was pressed. The only reason it gets one star because the laser works. Waste of money, my 10 dollar Zircon base model stud sensor out shines this paper weight. Will return immediately.

Foolproof

I am definitely no handy man and I needed something simple and accurate and this did the job and made my tv bracket mounting task easy. I was excited to screw into the stud so I guess this thing works.

Great Stud Finder

Really impressed with this, the product does what it says it does. There aren't really any instructions given though, so it can be a bit confusing to work out how to use it. Also make sure you buy a battery at the same time as it doesn't come with one. The live power function is a nice backup reader to double check you're not about to hang your wall art through something you shouldn't be.

Handy product

I bought this to find studs for hanging things on walls. It does just that pretty accurately. Despite the fact it didn’t come with a user guide it was easy enough to figure out but a guide would help. It will come in handy on future jobs.

Poor readings

I purchased this as i couldnt find my previous stanley stud finder (just a cheap one, but it worked well) iv had many issues with this as noted below:1. calibration takes about 2 seconds which doesn't sound like much, but when it's so inaccurate, you are taking it off and on the wall, it becomes annoying.2. stud widths are sometimes up to 10mm off the reading, eg, a 45mm stud would read 60-65mm wide.3. the vertical level vials dont line up with each other, so im not sure which one is right.4. Electrical detection is rubbishthis stud finder might be ok for a beginner, or a DIYer, but any sort of construction worker will hate it

Too expensive for what it is

It only gives a rough estimate where the studs are. Often more than 20mm off, which is way too inaccurate if you can’t physically check for your studs. It also detects wires that are not in the particular wall. The design is comfortable and laser really good.

don't waste your money it doesn't find studs. Very frustrating if you go over the wall in 2 directions the stud position changes I then need to drill small holes to confirm the studs location most often to find there isn't a studdo not buy
