The perfect story for anyone who’s ever felt overshadowed. One little girl dreams of being a star. But whether it's finding Mom's lost wedding ring or winning the costume prize, her big sister always shines brighter. In her grandfather’s eyes, though, she is a star. With illustrations from new talent Briony May Smith, this is a touching story about being true to yourself from award-winning author Jeanne Willis. Pictures of cozy, lamplit rooms and a glowing fireplace give off almost palpable warmth, as does the love of her extended family. After she understands that she is made of stardust, she learns to shine her own light. —Booklist Online Warm and light. —Kirkus Reviews Jeanne Willis wrote her first book when she was five. Read this book at a friend's home and knew immediately I wanted this for my nieces (2 & 4 years). It's a beautifully illustrated book which weaves in a meaningful story that we are all special through the story of the big bang. High recommended
