It features a durable grey PVC jacket that allows you to color code your network cables as needed. To ensure long term performance, this high quality Cat6 patch cable has a snagless design that protects the RJ45 connector clips from damage as nothing can catch on the cable during installation. The cable also features a molded PVC strain relief that prevents the RJ45 connection points from bending too much. This reduces the risk of cable failure.

Ethernet cables have writing on the sleeve, giving tech specs about the cable. Sometimes it is very richly colored, sometimes it is not. I had a need to expose a white cable, & searched for one that had faintly-visible writing on the sleeve. (I couldn't do a 'extra slim' cable at 50', & certainly didn't want flat) The ad pictures showed this to be the best contender. I received it today, and YES it is. The spec writing on the sleeve is very faint, thank you! Yes the cable design is fine & speeds are great. Great price too. Thank you startech. I recommend this cable.

I got the 35 foot version and upon arrival it has a strong, really stinky toxic industrial chemical smell. It's been sitting outside in the sun for several days - I'm hoping the smell will dissipate. I'm sure it works and it seems quality - except this particular supplier didn't do basic toxics sanitation in its factory. It's not just mold/die lubricant - there's something nasty *in* the elastomeric coating.

Pros: I'm upgrading to gigabit ethernet in the home so they are drop in replacements for cat5 cables. Seem to do the job, but this is domestic, so I've not done proper testing. I've successfully used Starlink brand cables before, and have had no nasty surprises in the month I have used these cables.Cons: Seem OK, I've not tested, nothing bad so far (30 days).

My husband and I purchased this cable because the one we were given with our internet provider was only 6 foot long. We needed at least double that. The product arrived next day! We were so estatic & the cable has an extra feature that makes it so easy to unhook. Very nice and pleased with this product!
The is cable comes in a large zip lock bag that most ethernet cables come in. The cable is very flexible and soft to the touch. The snagless ends are easy to use to release the cable from the jack. The cable work fast and reliably as expected. I have been using StarTech ethernet cables for 20 years and I will continue so for the foreseeable future. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.
Pros: Great bit of kit. Less than 5% difference to download speed from plugging computer directly into the router, despite 2 adapters being on opposite sides of house. Don't have to sacrifice a socketCons: To get max speeds needs a higher quality ethernet cable (6 series or higher). Would be good if those cables came as standard with the product (comes supplied with 2 basic cables). however the higher quality cables are relatively cheap to buy separately
The patch cords themselves work awesome; the only minor issue is the tab that's molded around the connector makes it a wee bit difficult to remove it from the source. Since that's not normally a day-to-day issue it's not a big deal, but I do wish they stuck with a standard design. Not a game changer, these are still a great product, especially for the price. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again .
The cord works. It was a bit shorter than I expected, but I think I just underestimated how short 10ft really is. The real issue is, this cable smells weird. As soon as I opened the plastic envelope it came in, it filled the room with a putrid rubber smell that stuck around faintly for a few days. I don't know if its faded, or if I've just gone blind to the scent, but it was quite shocking. Anyways, 4/5 eggs. Would be 5/5 if it didn't physically stink.
Works great interconnecting digital snake stage boxes. Have two S16 Behringer digital snakes was trying to connect together. Other cat 6 and 7 would have intermittent clock sync errors. Since I got this cable, issue went away
