I have been trying to connect my 4Gbps Hyperfibre from Chorus NZ to my Macbook but until this Adapter, I hadn't found a reliable way to achieve it. Instantly got 2.3Gbps up and down which is amazing.

Startech is one of very few companies who actually tell you what chipset they are using. There are a lot of cheap adapters out there with flakey chipsets. I ordered this directly from startech.com specifically because they explicitly advertise the Realtek 8156BG.When I received my order, I was disappointed to see that they had sent me an adapter with the baseline 8156 (not BG) chipset. I contacted them for a replacement and the process could not have been easier. Their RMA team is excellent, and verified that the replacement adapter had the correct 8156BG chipset before shipping it. There were no restocking fees or shipping charges for the replacement.
