I was wanting to get some outside lights connected via WiFi so I could start doing holiday lighting changes in the outside lights on the garage. I needed to setup a new router to get WiFi strong enough to access the lights and the StarTech.com Cat6a Shielded Patch Cable was what was needed. Worked great and now I have WiFi access to the lights so I can program them from my tablet inside the house.

Put between cable modem and 16 port hub / switch. Reduced packet errors and got 986 mbps down and 50+ mbps up on 1.0 gb feed. Was only getting 850 mbps with CAT5 cable.
This ties in my modem to my new router for mesh Wifi6. It may be overkill,, but it could help with other upgrades in the future. The best part was options for many lengths to meet your needs. Since the position or my devices is uncertain, I bought a longer cable giving me more flexibility.
With the covid, we needed longer cords than before, this one worked so good we actually purchased it a 2nd time.
