Great rack to use for studio outboard equipment. My only issue was the design of the bottom of the rack. It has holes pre-punched out, but they do not hold any kind of significant weight, It just bends them. I used angle iron steel 1/8” thick 1”x1” and made a frame for this rack to sit in (12”x20 1/2” ID) I then welded casters to the frame base I made. I did also want to mention it had no hardware upon arrival and I had to go buy additional hardware for the rack to assemble it.

I really wish this was a 14U rack. 12 is a little small but I like that you can seat deeper devices at the bottom and shallow devices at the top. the machining needs some improvement as there are rough burrs on the bottom that can scratch table tops and hands.

It’s sturdy, only took about 5 minutes to put together, and gets the job done! Not too bad looking either.
Put some felt on the bottom and you can turn this around to work on the stuff in the back. I like this little rack and will buy more when needed/
The biggest win for this thing for me is that it's something inexpensive that could accommodate a rather deep rackmount case. All the low end 4 post offerings I saw wouldn't fit it. Sat that unit at the bottom, works fine. That aside there's nothing special to say about it. It's easy to put together, and more than sturdy enough. I saw other reviews about not having enough mounting hardware. But I have 3 bags with 12 screws and brackets. 36 seems like plenty to me.
This product is great for for a closet or shelf system, or for where you need to be able to move your network equipment, i.e. an apt renter, etc. very sturdy. Mind you that is does weigh more then then the slanted one, but no wiggling or twisting.
Works great for studio gear. I was worried it would tip backwards with a heavy pre up top, but it’s solid! The bottom piece is very heavy so it’s stable. If you’re looking to spend more money on gear and less on the aesthetics of wood, this is a no brainer. Spend the $600 on a new pre and buy this instead! Ps: It does not come with enough clips and screws if you’re trying to do 12u of 1u items. You’ll need a few 2u or 3u pieces to make it work out.
i'm using it on my desk to organize a bunch of rack mounted equipment. i only wish i found this thing sooner.
