I've tried a lot of these mini-docks. I have a bunch sitting on my desk but this one is by far the best one I've used. It has all the ports one would want. My small laptop only has 2 USB-A ports so this adapter allows me to plug other devices in other than just a keyboard and mouse which is great. I have tried various other products over several years since I got a Macbook Pro with only 2 USB-C ports. This one is expensive, but it works, so far. Every time I plug in a single USB-C connection from the hub to my Macbook, I can access the external keyboard, mouse, monitor, power supply, printer, scanner ... others that promised the same functionality did not measure up. It has been six weeks so far. Fingers crossed that it works as well after six months or even six years!

I was very wary about finding the right adapter; most reviews I've seen were either really good or really bad. I use it to connect a wacom cintiq 16 to my 2019 MacBook pro. I've been using this product every day for about three weeks now and have only ever used two connections (the usb port and HDMI) simultaneously, and have never had any issues with lag. There have been a few times where i've accidentally bumped my laptop and knocked the cord, making both screens flash black for half a second, but nothing extreme. Overall, my expectations were exceeded.

I just reviewed the DKT30CHCPD this morning, because I carried it all week last week. But I had this one in my pocket as well.... And THIS device wins.Both devices performed perfectly. It's just that this one has extra USB3, a VGA port, AND SD and microSD slots, with hardly any size difference! So, this is my new go to device for mobile connections away from my office. Because of this ONE device, I now have 4 LESS devices in my "go" bag.Throughput is great, connections remain solid, and the cable tucks out the way completely. Being so small and smooth, means it can be carried in a pocket easily.I don't have any 4K HDMI here, but I can say that "standard" HD works just fine with monitors and TVs from this little box.Power throughput worked with Mac, Dell, and HP.
The design of this adapter is amazing and makes this adapter super useful. Many newer laptops are shipping with fewer and fewer ports making adapters like this essential. The amount of ports available on this adapter is astounding for its size and weight. While I typically prefer detachable cables this wraparound cable is very convenient. I really appreciate the power delivery available through the USB-C. The microSD and SD card reader is a plus for any photo professional and the 3 USB 3 ports are a huge plus for connecting extra devices. I cannot use the adapter to power my Dell laptop. it worked well for 3 days and then suddenly stopped the power transfer. Only the USB ports work. When I connect power no lights come up. Consider it a partial failure. I just got this from my work.
Picked this up several months ago when I changed companies and had a new home office setup. Worked with a Mac right out of the gate, including pass through charging without any issues. Then about a week ago, the USB ports stopped working with no warning... no degradation, no hint they were going bad. Now I can't get the hardwired network port to pass through either. It is still driving one of my monitors and passing power through, but the failed ports are very disappointing...
It does work and without drivers required, but windows is often flaky about it and will bug out on first time seeing a certain new monitor.first I had it not work on a computerA, then not work on computerB, then work ok on computerC. Then tested back on computerA and it worked.So perhaps the cables and connectors are more finicky than usbA used to be? Regardless, suppliers are going to see a ton of returns of devices that actually work, but customers were not patient enough to try it multiple times and wiggle cables etc.
