Works perfectly with my extra Dell monitor but no good for the older Apple 23 inche Cinema Displays. I tried a number of different adaptors but none work. MacBook detects the display. Turns on the back light but displays no picture. The computer believes it is on at full resolution but no display at all. Purchased with the hopes it would drive this fantastic older monitor from my newer MacBook Pro. Bummer.

Been using it for a few weeks with no issues thus far. It seems to be durable and hence can be carried carry around if required. Can't really fault it as I have not had any issues.
Until I upgrade my older monitor, this little adapter is just what I need. It works perfectly every time I plug it in, to any DVI Monitor. I leave it on my DVI cable and just plug in when I’m at my desk. Well built, the cord is the right length and doesn’t get in the way. One thing to note, this did not work with most DVI-VGA adapters I tried, so if you’re trying to connect VGA, there are other adapters to look for!I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review
I hope I had read the the review review earlier before I bought two units. I got only HALF of the resolution of 2560x1600!! This compatibility issues should be made more apparent in the product overview!!!! It's so misleading!!!!!
When I think of StarTech I think of reliability, consistency, quality and great technical support. This product covers three of those four items. I just purchased some new Viewsonic 24in DVI monitors for my desk and my old DVI adapters could not support the resolution the new monitors had to offer. Startech offered a great solution and a very inexpensive price to fix my problem. With the new adapters I am amazed at how much better the quality of my monitors are.
For desktops or laptops that you want to use two monitors on, these work great. A little bulky but not bad. You have to run the software in order for the desktop/laptop to see the second monitor but once you do that, they work great.
Works great w Wacom cintiq This is the real deal, some other cheaper adapters don’t work properly
Works great! I use it to attach my 2013 Cintiq 22 to my MacBook Pro 2019 and it works flawlessly.
