I bought this adapter to connect a Mac to a computer monitor (2K) and television (4K). This particular adapter does not support 4K HDR video playback. Although it is advertised as 60Hz, it does not display at 60 Hz instead 30 Hz when connected to a Toshiba 4K TV (2020 model).

Works great when it works. Typically have to unplug and plug back in after laptop enters sleep mode. Otherwise a good product for displaying a 2nd monitor.
I really like this adapter for its ability to keep the display on during presentations, especially while on laptop battery power. Its small size and sturdy construction are what I have come to expect from Startech.com adapters. The video and audio output is outstanding, especially for such a small adapter.
