Great Cable!

Cable worked very well. Used it to hook up our cable box away from our TV. Picture was very clear and crisp. Extra length on the cable worked great for what we needed it to do. The cable gauge is very thick so a little tricky to get it in our HDMI port because of where it's located on the back of our TV. There is a little cut out that doesn't allow for much room for the cable to bend. But once it was in, there wasn't any way it was going to come back out. I got a free sample of this cable to try but would recommend purchasing it if you are in the market for a 25ft hdmi cable. very well made and clear picture.

Great product for price and functionality

Used to route audio/video from wired security system from master closet to bedroom, wall-mounted TV via attic. The length was right but the ends required me to get a little creative in making the hole in the top plate of the wall a little bigger. Previously had a hole for telephone wire. Also wasn’t able to use 1 gang old-work electrical box without cutting open the back or the recessed wall plate out of which I routed the cable. If you are going to be doing something similar ensure you give yourself enough space to drill the top plate... at least a foot in length. Measure the length of the drill with the bit in it and add a few inches. Lessons learned. I think I used 11/16 for the bit but 3/4 would likely be easier if you are making a new hole. I have owned this cable for three years. Bought it here. I use it to run from a HDMI splitter out to my condo balcony, where I have a 55" tv on a rolling stand that I wheel in and out. I have closed my balcony doors on this cable too many times to count. This thing is built tough. I had a thinner flat cable before this that failed undoubtedly due to my closing of the door on it. I only use it once a week, but I roll and unroll it every time, so it gets much more of a workout than normal, I would suspect. I have nothing bad to say about it.

I purchased this to connect my Blue Ray player to the TV. It’s length is perfect so you don’t have cords all over the back of your entertainment area. The cord is very thick but easily bends to where it’s needed for connecting. With this thickness, seems to be very well made. Both HDMIs fit securely with no issues. Picture quality is excellent. The connection of metal and plastic is perfect. The size makes it easy to connect and unconnect. Overall an excellent item.

The cable worked fine initially. Not an exceptional signal, but no major problems. Then I started losing the signal upon startup. I had to pull the cable out of the HDMI slot of the projector and stereo to get it to work again. Eventually, the copper jacket fell off the cable and would not stay in place. Not a great product.

These cables work even in a very unconventional setup like mine.
17 August 2021

So, to start off, I have to describe the setup with which the cables are implemented, however, skip to the section, "Get to the Point" if you don't really care. There are two 6 in, 2 out HDMI switches, both separated by an initial 15 ft of HDMI cables, and the final switch has these 25 footers on the outputs going to my monitors, both standard HD 1080p-type displays. One of these switches has two input channels occupied by my HP Elite Desk 800 tower PC ++DP outputs. The switches will be and are connected to other computers and gaming systems as well, including Wii, Wii U, Xbox One S and a Nintendo Switch. This may inhibit the cables somewhat if you are routing them through channels or through a wall, ceiling or floor, if they are rated for that, I did not check as the cables are running up and over the open floor joists in a basement and back down to the monitors.

Where I live, it is not easy to find quality products that meets my specific needs. Local retail outlets typically sell what the majority of customers want: lowest price (generally meaning lower quality), and will stock only the higher sales volume products (meaning my specific needs [ie desired length, or desired color] are seldom met. I can accept their needs for respond to what the majority of customers required; but for customers me, where suitability for my needs and high quality is high priority, finding a reliable source for electronic products and accessories therefor becomes very important. StarTech seems to be such a source. I am very happy with my purchases; both the products and the supplier

Why you should buy THIS cable...
27 July 2013

Yes, it's the right length & at a fair price, but the reason you should buy this cable over others is that it features 1080p+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Most HDMI cables on the market only refresh at 60Hz. The better & larger flatscreen TVs refresh at 120Hz & the best refresh at 240Hz. Why is this important? Well, if you are watching a football game & Drew Brees throws the football it will be clear enough to read the writing on the ball at 120Hz & even better @ 240Hz refresh rate. To get a clear picture of a fast moving object on the screen a refresh rate of 120Hz or better is needed. BUT, if your video cable is only good up to 60Hz then you wasted the extra money you spent to get the better TV. A chain is only as good as it's weakest link. Another reason this cable is better than most is that it supports bandwidths up to 340 MHz (10.2 Gbps) and display resolutions of up to 1440p (most cables don't go beyond 1080p). If anybody knows where to get a HDMI cable that supports a refresh rate of 240Hz or better, please let me know! I hope this helps.

Works Great! Just the length I needed!

I have 10-foot HDMI cables, which simply aren't long enough to do the job I needed. "The Shack" wanted $80 for a 16-foot HDMI cable! *GASP*I found this 15-foot cable at Walmart for half that. You simply can't go wrong with it if you need an extra-long HDMI cable.Don't be misled by some sales people who may tell you that cable quality is of utmost importance. Maybe back in the days of analog signals, monster cables and high-end, low loss conductors WERE important. But since this signal is all digital (ones and zeroes), then signal loss isn't a big issue as long as the ones and zeroes get from one end to the other. And this cable does that... very well. Unless you're running a 50-foot cable, then gold-plated ends and low-resistance conductors are simply gimmicks to make you pay more. And even then, I doubt they'll make much difference, if any. Remember 2 things:(a) It's all digital signal. I don't care how much loss your cable has or how long it is: if the component on the receiving end can still read the ones and zeroes - however small and weak - you will suffer no decrease in sound or picture quality.(b) Virtually all HDMI cables come from the same place: China or somewhere else in Asia. If you have money to throw away, then go buy an $80 cable. Better yet, I'll give you my PayPal address and you can send ME the extra money! The point is, an $80 HDMI cable will provide you with no better signal quality than this cable will. I promise you that.I recommend this cable as a low-cost alternative to the electronics stores that will charge you at least twice as much for the same length.

very good quality!
14 December 2016

This HDMI cable is fantastic. I love the quality of the video and audio I get and the quick and easy connection from my laptop to my projector. The terminations are well designed so seems like a very durable cable. I watch movies in HD and this cable brings me no issues. The only downside I would say is that it's very thick making it somewhat difficult to hide compared to similar cables. However, this cable carries a lot more bandwidth so it's worth it. The length is perfect for long distances and wrapping around the living room. I like that it's heavy duty and carries a high speed signal.
