I bought the gorgeous Grenadine 3.75 qt French oven and have been in love ever since. Our soups and stews have been elevated to a whole new level, I wish I realized how much of a difference a French oven would make in the taste of the food. Not to mention, the whole process of cooking with our new Staub has become such a pleasure. Gorgeous and timeless.

I recently purchased this Dutch oven because I saw it was on sale and I wanted to invest in a high quality product that would last me for years. I have been eyeing Le Creuset's Dutch ovens for some time until I read all the reviews for the Staub iron cast cookware raving about it's unique features (dark interior for better braising, textured inner lid which aids to baste your food with additional moisture). Additionally, I loved the deep colors of the Staub Dutch oven line more than the Le Creuset Dutch ovens even though there are more colors to choose from the Le Creuset line. So I took the plunge and ordered my first quality piece of cookware from Staub and I was not disappointed. My order came within three days, and right out the box, you can really tell that Staub's Dutch oven is a well made product. [Staub's Dutch oven is of] Solid construction and heft, the majolique finish is absolutely stunning (I ordered mine in the Sapphire Blue color) and it cooked my first meal to perfection. Clean up was a breeze and I love that the interior of the cookware is dark to resist staining and discoloration during cooking. I even followed the instructions that came with my Dutch oven to brush the interior with light plant-based oil (I used vegetable oil) to further enhance the non-stick quality of the interior. This was simply a recommendation from the instruction booklet, but in my mind if this cookware is a personal investment to last forever then why not follow through. I look forward to putting this pot to good routine use and I am now sold as a Staub cookware enthusiast! I plan on adding the larger cocotte and braiser to my staple cookware collection. I'm a very happy with my decision to purchase Staub's cookware and look forward to purchasing again.

I bought my Staub Cast Iron 3.75-qt Essential French Oven (Lily embossed) at a William Sonoma store in Washington, DC suburbs. I had already been using Staub Perfect Pan for a couple of years and had been impressed by the quality of the both interior matte enamel as well as the external enamel. I bought this in white truffle to have two Staub pots for baking two loaves o sourdough bread at once. I bought the graphite color two years ago and wanted a creamy white to complement it. The pictures of the white truffle color are not true, however—it is actually a mottled light gray, not a creamy white like I thought it would be. I thought they had shipped me the wrong color at first. It’s still nice but not what I was expecting.
I love using this Staub French Oven for curries and sautéing. It's so beautiful that I leave it out on my stove at all times. Love the subtle gold knob. Because the vessel is black, it doesn't show wear and tear on the outside. Love the matte look.
This cast iron Dutch oven is my FAVORITE cook on/baking essential. From frying chicken, to making homemade bread, to simmering a succulent stew - everything comes out perfectly in my new Staub. It says that there are visual imperfections. I don’t see them! I’ve looked at this pot forever but couldn’t afford it. This sale afforded me the opportunity to enjoy luxury at a fraction of the cost.Thank you so much for the opportunity to cook and bake like a true chef. Bravo Staub! Bravo Zwilling!
I got a 4qt cocotte in 2020 and I love it. When I saw this one with a rounded bottom, I decided to get this one as well. I love the rounded bottom, it will make stir frying easier (I haven’t used it yet). I just washed it and can’t wait to start using it! I thought buying a second one would be good so I can use one to make a stew while I’m baking a bread in the other one. I might come up with another reason to get myself a third one one day… I love the self-basting effect of the lid and the black enamel coat. I’ve seen people’s used Le Creuset’s enamel all cracked… I won’t have to worry about that with this black enamel coat of Staub’s!
Game changing chef’stool. Every kitchen should have one. Excellent housewarming gift. I use this for Dutch Apple Pancakes, soup, chili, small roasts with no leftovers, (i have family of 7 with grown children) skillet bakes, chicken and dumplings and is an EXCELLENT rice cooker. No more cold rice! I also own a 7qt coquette by Staub, but only break it out for 7 and 8 lb roasts. Do. Not. Hesitate. With supply chain what it is, I dont wait on sales. This is a lifetime piece, so i didn't quibble over 20 dollars. I ended up buying a mint floor model (I was seeking specifically Matte Black with brass handle). It’s the “professional grade” finish, more durable, and better heat tolerance. i currently own two in this finish and a Staub 2021 pumpkin in Burnt Orange. Looking to compliment with a side dish 3.25 Qt demi french oven in Grenadine. Looks great with my copper pots. Cleanup with Dawn and cotton rag. I use organic canola to season, no problems with rust as it is enameled inside and out. Goodbye teflon!!
Staub is a brand that makes some really great stuff. Usually compared to Le Creuset, the quality of both is great. It the differences that are noteworthy and what makes Staub special. The heavier lid keeps in twice the moisture, the self basting raised texture on the underside of lid, the porous black enamel inside allows a seasoning patina to develop over time, and even the optional whimsical knobs are lovely. I do work in a cookware store and have also been cooking with a staub 7 qt Dutch oven (favorite) in particular for 6 years and it is outstanding :). The savings here exceeds what my store discount would be by quite a bit. The savings here exceeds what my store discount would be by quite a bit. With the second quality items, mine had excellent glazing necessary for optimal use and wear, but some of the painting left some texture & uneven color on the inside of the handles. Not visible unless you do a very thorough product inspection, and not noticeable just looking at it, and should not impact use. When a company is one with a reputation as excellent as Staub (Henckels), they would not sell a poor quality item even as a second. As a side note, I received my pot the day after ordering it, actually less than 24 hours later! If youre buying a gift, go to a store and pay the extra for perfection. Otherwise, this is an excellent option to buy great Staub quality more affordably.
