This beautiful, fun, cocotte may be an incentive for me to start cooking again. Small enough for just me, big enough that I'm not having to pare down a recipe, leaving room for a few leftovers. I use the tomato pot for chile and soup, the petite cocotte for vegetables, and the tall 5qt for if I might have a few extra for dinner. OS had the best price, shipped from Zwilling in original box. I feel pretty blessed;).

The Staub tomato is made exactly like all of the other cast iron. It's enameled outside to be extemely chip resistant and beautiful. The color is so vibrant. The inside is enameled also which makes it stain and chip resistant, browns beautifully and is super easy to clean. Just like all other Staub too, it can go in the oven to 500 degrees.The shape is just like a beautiful, heirloom tomato with a lovely stainless stem for a handle. You could leave it on your stove or table for display, but why limit it. It's a work horse piece, perfect for side dishes, roasts or bread.

I cook all the time and this is a great addition to my collection. It is not only functional but is very decorative as well. Its first task was to cook some crusty french bread and it did its job beautifully. I am already thinking of other items to cook in it and serve up in the cocotte pan. This is very well made and will last to hand down to children and grand children.
I have been admiring this cocotte for a few years, but kept putting off buying it. It was an attractive price, so I purchased it. It is typically high quality Staub - the finish is smooth, shiny and perfect. It is well-designed to work perfectly on my induction stove. Anything I cook in it has an extra special loveliness due to it being in a beautiful tomato! I love this and recommend it.
Gorgeous. Beautiful. Stunning. Admittedly I am a Le Creuset snob but I couldn't resist this beautiful cast iron dutch oven and the amazing price on Overstock - almost half off the price at other sites including Staub's own site. This is my first Staub piece but it wont be my last. Looks and feels just as heavy and durable as Le Creuset. This tomato cocotte (dutch oven) adds so much visual interest to my kitchen. It catches the sunlight beautifully. Highly recommend.
Finally I decided to buy this since Overstock had a best price!!! Perfect size for 2 to 3 ppl soup, stew etc. Normally I don't like cast iron & dutch oven with white enamel coating inside. They're heavy and white enamel coating gets ugly color over the time. But, not this one ! Still heavy, but I wanted this, because so adorable looks and black coating inside and sale price that I couldn't walk away. I'm so glad that I purchased it.

This dutch oven is perfection! I purchased it knowing that it would probably have visual imperfection, but it had none (unless I would consider one tiny portion, inside the lid, that has a slightly more accentuated roughness, but I won't because the inside is not supposed to be smooth anyway). So, perfect. The way these dutch ovens cook... The design, the color of this tomato. Gorgeous. Thank you, Zwilling!
I love Staub. I own another tomato cocotte from 2017 Bocuse d’Or year and that one feels and looks much superior. It’s also heavier than the one I ordered now. I ordered from Zwilling as it owns Staub and thought that is the best place but the quality seems to be declining. I hope they do back to the previous quality. This happens to most companies as they make changes and sometimes changes aren’t for good. Emile Henry doenst glaze their oil cruets inside but they used to before plus many examples. I hope Staub retains its quality. That includes weight, colors, glaze and many details.
