Staub Frying-Pan With Wooden Handle Black 24 cm

In this frying pan from Staub, you can effortlessly prepare juicy steaks, aromatic vegetable dishes, and fried fish. The frying pan with a wooden handle has a diameter of 24 cm and is suitable for preparing smaller dishes. The ergonomically shaped wooden handle makes it easier to handle the pan on the stove and to transfer food to the serving bowl. In this frying pan, material and design come together in a symbiosis. The combination of the black cast iron pan body and the beech wood handle is visually appealing. The cast iron pan impresses with optimal heat retention properties. Thanks to the evenly distributed heat and its longlasting warmth, gentle braising in the pan is just as possible as searing and developing roasting aromas. The pan is relatively lightweight due to material and design innovations. The design of the pan originates from France. Bought this frying pan on the base of quality AND not disappointed. I have followed the instruction given in specifications and have now had frying for some weeks, using it regularily, the pan is a joy to use.

Had to get a refund

I was so excited about this pan because it from very good brand and having all nice features like weight, coating, size and lovely colour. However, I've had to return it back and asked for a refund as it won't come clean whatsoever you try. After first few usage it started building grease/residue on inner surface and from that point I was not able clean (no matter how hard you try). Tried all possible ways like hot water, hot water + baking soda, professional cleaning cream etc. but no luck !

Initially unconvinced, but now I love it

I was surprised by just how heavy this pan is, it's definitely not one for teaching kids how to cook with - broken toes or floor tiles seem likely... But I found I quickly got used to the weight, I even began to like it.At first everything I tried stuck horribly and broke apart. I found this frustrating, as I my main reason for buying this pan was to find a healthier alternative to non-stick/aluminium.With trial and error I realised 2 things: first the pan gets better with use, somehow this develops the nonstick coating making it more effective. Second, if the pan is very hot before you put meat in then it doesn't stick (plus you get a lovely browned seal on the outside). One final positive is that it is very economical with energy - once the pan is hot, you ... MoreI was surprised by just how heavy this pan is, it's definitely not one for teaching kids how to cook with - broken toes or floor tiles seem likely...
