3rd unit and second flood. The housings simply crack after time and leak. If it is a slow leak then the cupboards are screwed before you find the source. If it is a massive failure, then you are walking through water in the kitchen to turn the taps off. I have had two slow leaks and one massive failure. Time to change brands. Check for cracks around the water inlet and outlet as well as where the walls meet with the top and bottom. They will be there...

Fitted this almost 5 years ago, changed the filters annually. It hasn't been touched since the last filter change almost a year ago and the main housing split yesterday.It hasn't been knocked or damaged in anyway, it just failed as others have reported. Fortunately we were home and turned the water off quickly. Last week we were away and would have come home to a flooded house if it failed then. I'm going to replace it with a better quality unit, seems your playing flooding roulette if you fit these.

I am surprised that this item is still for sale. I installed this a couple of years ago and the housing has split just like all of the others mentioned in previous reviews. Water under mains pressure sprayed through the under sink space and into a dishwasher power point for 3 hours before detection. The timber flooring now has to be replaced. Imagine if you had gone away for a few weeks. I would have given Zero stars but there is not that option.
This product did not fit my existing system. When I spoke with Stefani they said that this one is mainly used for offices. It has a 3/4" in/outlet which I would have seen if there were photos of the side of the product. I will be returning this when I am able to go to the shops again.
Like other consumers have reported, one of the filter housings cracked and started leaking water everwhere. I replaced the housing with a new one - and well, well, well, it too has started leaking! Stefani... Bunnings... are your reading this?? Do something about it!
Have used for 5 years or so when the upper housing split, flooding the kitchen. Instructions say do not over overtighten but there is a slim margin between too loose and leaking and too tight.Works ok when installed but not outstanding. Multi stage units will improve taste. Overall, it's easy enough to install and use but filter installation and replacement requires a deft touch.
Suffered same failure from a fatigue crack at the bottom of filter housing. Stefani said I should have installed pressure limiting valve. Funnily enough I already had one installed. Useless customer service and poor quality design. They have known design issues with repeatable failures and won’t do anything about it. AVOID.
I sadly have to report yet another example of cracked upper housing this time after about 6 or 7 years but under very light loads. Came home to a large pool of water and upon further inspection, it appears to have been leaking slowly for some time. Resulting in the swollen back part of the sink cabinet etc. Now the frustration of finding an alternative solution.
Just over 2 years ago I installed this product, came back from holidays to a very wet kitchen cupboard, which required shelf replacing.The top had a pin hole, so took it into the Stefani warehouse, who looked at it and informed me it was due to over pressuring, and was not installed by a licenced plumber. How can they sell a product which is installed inside a cupboard and under pressure at all times, without it being tested to at least twice the recomended pressure. And the installtion was not at fault, just a very poor product, with no back up from the company.
