All I can say to cover words for my husbands step ones is that they are the absolute best in quality feel comfort and value for money as they last a lot longer than the typical ones people buy to save money. But they don’t do so in the long run as they probably buy new every 3-4 months. Hubby had his first set of step ones approx 4 years ago. They still have no holes, no losse twising elastic waistband but we will give to charity as I got this wonderful bulk buy to replace them at a wonderful price that I just couldn’t say no to. lol xx

This review is actually for the Trunk version. I initially ordered 6 Boxer Briefs, and as a first time user, I didn’t know what to expect. The quality on these are great- smooth, comfortable, and feels like the fabric will be long-lasting. I ended up switching these for trunks, as the boxer briefs seemed to have a longer inseam than I had imagined. I know they say 6” but I felt they were a little longer. Also, I’m 6’1” and 175lbs, and my quads aren’t really my strongest part of my body.I would definitely suggest the trunks if you are on the slimmer side. Definitely would suggest to size up. Lastly, I wanted to commend the customer service- they were real helpful in the swap and ease of the exchange process.

Absolutely Brilliant with a capital Brill. Even in the heatwave your clank certainly stays drier with these over ordinary under bags. The lack of chaffing is unbelievable! I'd bought three pairs of STEP ONE which I exclusively used to go out hiking. They are so comfortable I ended up buying another six pairs as I want to wear them all the time. I made the mistake only yesterday of putting a pair of my ordinary pants on which were bought from a super market. I only walked to my local COOP for some supplies (15 minute round trip) my clank was sweaty & was chaffed in minutes in this hot weather. Walked about ten miles today IN JEANS! wearing the STEP ONE's best chunk of 30 degree heat, no chaffing & a comfortable clank, fantastic!. They also have a good & comfortable hold on your knackers. They are a bit pricey hence the value for money score, BUT, I recommend them. I never thought a pair of under bags could be such a revelation. All I can say is GET SOME BOUGHT!

I would note up-front that, while normally a Large, these were a touch too small and uncomfortable, so I returned and swapped for XL, and these serve as a *slightly* looser pair than my normal fodder (detailed within). I'm ~36-38" waist with 'good sized' thighs and the light podge of a once-active 34 y/o who enjoys Haribo.Yesterday I went for a ~1 hour, ~13 mile cycle in them and not once did I have to rearrange my junk or pull-down the legs. Today, I took a four hour walk to, around and from town. It was the same story. The only thing I've done on is, occasion (like, three times?), pull them up a bit at the waist to achieve a better level of support.Compared to my previous fodder, the 'degree of support' I experience goes [Step One (L) too tight >] OnThatAss ... MoreI would note up-front that, while normally a Large, these were a touch too small and uncomfortable, so I returned and swapped for XL, and these serve as a *slightly* looser pair than my normal fodder (detailed within). My meat-and-two have been thoroughly unirritated by bunching today/yesterday, and here's zero discomfort betwixt my thighs. Neither do I feel uncomfortably damp after my outing today and even yesterday after my cycle I felt happy to chore without changing. Finally, there's the girlfriend: she *thoroughly* approves of both the aesthetics and the feel, and both encouraged and assisted in a replacement of my top draw. These are not your typical cotton blend, but a softer, lighter, smoother material. Very pleasant.I cannot comment on how long they last, having only just bought them, and having no experience in the anti-chaffe material betwixt ones thighs where I usually wear through my undies. If I get six months out of the items that will now fill my drawer then, on sale, these will cost about the same as my OTA subscription boxers and have wildly out-performed them. If they last longer, I'll be very happy. If they last less, ... it'll depends how much more quickly they wear out I guess. At £20 a pair though, I'd want them to last at least a year, if not two. Time will tell...
These are really nice underwear but no good for large built guys.I’m a large built guy and has excess skin and ordered 4XL.(I went for one size up than I would usually buy) The elastic pouch that holds your parts in place does nothing of the sort if you have excess skin. The pouch is nowhere near where it needs to be. They are also quite low, so show the crack of your bottom.I’ve decided to keep them, but would not order again. I feel a jock would be a better solution for me
Sizes run VERY small. They recommend a size up, my underwear arrived, I was excited to try them on after their powerful marketing message which makes you feel like they have an amazing product. The boxers fit like children’s underwear, I normally wear a medium, I ordered large, the smallest size that would fit is a XXL. I contacted them for a refund and they refused. It’s not my fault that they have no idea what they’re doing and cannot provide customers proper sizing instructions or a proper sizing chart. Quality of the material and design is extremely ordinary, there is no difference from any other boxer on the market. I typically wear Calvin Klein boxer briefs. Their email support team sucks to say the least, I offered them peace if they just gave me my money ... MoreSizes run VERY small. This clear let’s you know they don’t care about clients or client retention, they know the product is crap and know you won’t buy again. The only thing good about this brand is the marketing team. Just another new company trying to sell innovation but in reality is offering a scam. Learned my lesson. Disputing the charges with my credit card company regardless, they’re not very bright over at step one.Update: I don’t care about your policy, I don’t care about anything that you have to say except here is your full refund because we misled you into purchasing a product 3 sizes too small. I can’t do anything with these micro size underwear except throw them in the trash but I am not going to be held responsible because of your incompetence. Issue a full refund, I am in the process of opening a case with the state of Florida as after further reading reviews, there are TONS of complaints saying the same thing, your sizing is WAY off, you then don’t offer refunds. You are misleading the people and ripping them off. You reached the wrong person to mess with today.
Let's not beat around the bush. I'm a fatty. My legs are like tree trunks and chub rub (the kind with redness, soreness, and often a variety of heat spots and those dirty, little poppable ones) is a regular occurrence. I'd seen Step One floating about on social media for a while, and often thought to myself, 'how could anyone believe this garbage?' Anyway, for a reason unbeknownst to myself, I decided to test these out. I honestly don't know why I did (perhaps I was having a particularly sweaty day), but oh, em, gee, what a difference! My thighs now glide like Torvill and Dean on ice, and, touch wood (pardon the anatomical pun), my chub rub has been nonexistent. Genuinely, thank you.
After being waiting for multiple weeks, at last when it delivered, I can’t believe it Is it really a Step One!! Definitely it’s not made of bamboo material like it used to be. After two wash only I can’t even recognise it’s a Step One!! Bubbles comes out on clothes, fittings has gone. And that so called 3D comfort pouch, wow! That’s a total disgrace..I have been a biggest fan of Step One and refer to so many .. no more for sure!! I wish I could get a money back!!
I want to start off by saying that the customer service was faultless and I had no problem dealing with Step One while interacting with them.I have big quads and big glutes from many hours in the gym and playing sport over the years - and like all the guys in the adverts, historically I have struggled with underwear riding up all the time and feeling too tight etc. (I have always had to buy loose fitting boxers one size up, which end up being not so loose fitting). I saw the Step One boxers via an ad on IG and thought these would solve all my problems. In short, they didn't.My waist is 34 inch, but I always have to get underwear or trousers at 36 inch for them to feel comfortable on the legs/glutes (at their widest points my legs are 24-25 inch and my glutes 39-40 ... MoreI want to start off by saying that the customer service was faultless and I had no problem dealing with Step One while interacting with them.I have big quads and big glutes from many hours in the gym and playing sport over the years - and like all the guys in the adverts, historically I have struggled with underwear riding up all the time and feeling too tight etc. (I have always had to buy loose fitting boxers one size up, which end up being not so loose fitting). For smart trousers/suits I always have to get tailor made. Seeing that this design was 'made for guys with big legs' I thought I'd order a pair true to my waist size (34inch = size M on the sizing chart) and let the technology of the design fit around me. I received my size M and thought they felt a tad tight, but not too bad. I liked the material, feel and aesthetic design of the boxers but after about one hour of moving around the house in them (nothing major, standing/sitting/stairs a few times), they'd ridden up and it all felt a bit 'close' down there. I wondered if I needed a size up. So I got in contact to take advantage of the 'first pair for free' scheme which they have available (which I think is brilliant by the way!). With a very swift reply to my email, Step One sent me a size up (they sent me a different colour which I thought was strange but I was willing to ignore this as I would have ordered more in a variety of colours if the size L were on the money). The larger size was definitely a better fit and are great if you just stand without moving much, but after a bit of time in them....they still rode up and left me a bit sweaty down there! Maybe my dimensions are on the extreme end, but I'm just left feeling a bit disappointed and cheated by the branding claims.I seem to be the minority in my experience but thought it'd be worth sharing as to my understanding - Step One are trying to target those with extreme measurements with their underwear.

I allege that some time after December 2018 their manufacturing process changed resulted in a premature wear hole to appear at the bottom seam join with the Lycra panel. So far I have had around 5 pairs replaced under warranty for this exact concern over the last 2 years. The team at Step One reckon this isn’t a common issue, but a near 100% failure rate on garments I have purchased over the last two years I will allege that they do indeed have a known ongoing quality issue.Add to this a change in their garment waistband in early 2019, which is leading to waistband premature deformation (3 pairs replaced so far for this failure mode) and you have a clear case of product that is not fit for purpose or of acceptable quality under Australian consumer law.I'm happy for Step One to keep sending me replacement product, at least they honour their obligations under Australian Consumer Law and I don't need to purchase additional Step One underwear. I told them I don't want a refund, they can keep sending me replacement garments until they fix the quality.I will be keen to know if the Step One CEO will take an aggressive attitude in responding to this review like he did last time I posted a review, but hey what do I know about quality and fit for purpose under consumer law??If you are a existing or new Step One customer and read this review, make sure to submit a warranty claim and ask for a replacement pair of Step One's, and don't feel embarrassed, you are worth more than the $30 you end up paying for a single pair of these garments.
