Okay guys here it is. I am a big guy, 5x to 6x depending on the style of clothes and the type of material used. It's very hard to find comfortable clothes. I am extremely amazed at the comfort and fit of this underwear. Like you i was skeptical about all the bs and things you here about how good everything is. Well i can tell you honestly and openly that this underwear is better than what i expected. Great quality, comfortable and stretches in all the right places. Yes, i totally recommend them. Cut to the chase buy them you will not be disappointed.

Step One boxer briefs are an absolute game-changer! Seriously, these are hands down the best boxers I've ever used. Not only do they keep me feeling fresh all day long, but the comfort level is off the charts. The fabric feels incredibly soft and smooth against my skin, making every movement a pleasure. Say goodbye to chafing and discomfort, because Step One has got you covered. Trust me, once you try these, you'll never want to go back to your old boxers again.

Absolutely LOVE Step One undies. SUPER comfortable, durable, great colors and designs, look great. I now have about 18 pair, and slowly replacing my entire wardrobe of undies with Step One. I am a guy after all, so I keep underwear until they are so threadbare they could pass for fishnet. So far none of that happening with Step One. Even my oldest pair (about a year old now) still look as good as the day they arrived. And the best part...the pouch in front takes GREAT care of the boys! The ONLY downside of Step One is they are spendy. But watch for discounts and deals, they offer them frequently. And as I previously mentioned, I'll have these for literally years. So the investment is tiny when you factor in the usefullness. Just tough for a cheapskate like me to get ... MoreAbsolutely LOVE Step One undies. Sizes run VERY small. They recommend a size up, my underwear arrived, I was excited to try them on after their powerful marketing message which makes you feel like they have an amazing product. The boxers fit like children’s underwear, I normally wear a medium, I ordered large, the smallest size that would fit is a XXL. I contacted them for a refund and they refused. It’s not my fault that they have no idea what they’re doing and cannot provide customers proper sizing instructions or a proper sizing chart. Quality of the material and design is extremely ordinary, there is no difference from any other boxer on the market. I typically wear Calvin Klein boxer briefs. Their email support team sucks to say the least, I offered them peace if they just gave me my money ... MoreSizes run VERY small. Their email support team sucks to say the least, I offered them peace if they just gave me my money back but they refused. This clear let’s you know they don’t care about clients or client retention, they know the product is crap and know you won’t buy again. The only thing good about this brand is the marketing team. Just another new company trying to sell innovation but in reality is offering a scam. Learned my lesson. Disputing the charges with my credit card company regardless, they’re not very bright over at step one.Update: I don’t care about your policy, I don’t care about anything that you have to say except here is your full refund because we misled you into purchasing a product 3 sizes too small. I can’t do anything with these micro size underwear except throw them in the trash but I am not going to be held responsible because of your incompetence. Issue a full refund, I am in the process of opening a case with the state of Florida as after further reading reviews, there are TONS of complaints saying the same thing, your sizing is WAY off, you then don’t offer refunds. You are misleading the people and ripping them off. You reached the wrong person to mess with today.

Let's not beat around the bush. I'm a fatty. My legs are like tree trunks and chub rub (the kind with redness, soreness, and often a variety of heat spots and those dirty, little poppable ones) is a regular occurrence. I'd seen Step One floating about on social media for a while, and often thought to myself, 'how could anyone believe this garbage?' Anyway, for a reason unbeknownst to myself, I decided to test these out. I honestly don't know why I did (perhaps I was having a particularly sweaty day), but oh, em, gee, what a difference! My thighs now glide like Torvill and Dean on ice, and, touch wood (pardon the anatomical pun), my chub rub has been nonexistent. Officially converted, so much so that only a week later I placed my second order for five more pairs of these delightful little numbers. From me, my thighs and my average sized winkle, thank you. Genuinely, thank you.

Okay, so I bought 7 pairs during the Black Friday sale. Best prices of the year. I already had maybe 4 pairs. Here's why I only give StepOne a 3/5. First, I love bamboo. Changed to bamboo bedding a few years ago and love it. Bamboo cloth products are not only sustainable but also soooo soft and comfy. So these boxers get a 5 on the comfy scale. Now, my first pair I ever bought was a Medium, which is what I wear for all other boxers and boxer brief brands. As StepOne notes, theirs do run small. The Medium I got was for sure too tight on my stocky man thighs — like a compression short. So, I moved up to the large that fit much more comfortably. The downside of the large is that the "pouch" and the "jewels" don't quite line up as well, so the benefits of the ball ... MoreOkay, so I bought 7 pairs during the Black Friday sale. The downside of the large is that the "pouch" and the "jewels" don't quite line up as well, so the benefits of the ball pouch is lessened somewhat. While I love how comfy these are, which is why I bought a bunch of them, the main reason for the 3/5 is that despite StepOne's claims, these DO indeed ride up, a lot — just as much as any other boxer brief I've worn. I've given up on trying to find a brand that don't ride up. StepOne's ride up often — I'm constantly adjusting when I'm wearing any pant or short, especially if I'm doing any amount of walking. This was true of both the Medium and the Large sizes I've tried, although with the Large being slightly looser (they loosen up as the day progresses), the ride up is a bit more pronounced.I do love the variety of designs and color combos. They all look great on me — comfy, sexy, stylish, fun.

3 new pairs ripped in 3 months out of 10 pairs
5 December 2023

Comfortable but ultimately not durable. Sometimes they have cool designs. I had a holiday over to Europe for 3 months took 10 brand new pairs. To be fair I did a lot of walking. However despite being brand new 3 pairs ripped near the seams always in the bamboo parts. They are not a hardy product. I think they would be much better if they gave up on the idea of bamboo and went for a traditional material like cotton which seems to be much hardier. Its a shame i want to like them but they represent very bad value for money i wouldn't have expected any of the pairs to break so easily but as stated i had 3. Otherwise I like the anti chafe feature, however the lycra panels do a good job at that tho they end up fraying a bit and they don't breathe so your privates get ... MoreComfortable but ultimately not durable. I think they could be much better than they are if just swap bamboo for cotton, also they are already about 4 or 5 times the cost of bonds cotton underware which aren't shaped as nice and don't have an anti chafing feature, however bonds will last much longer as the cotton is much more durable.

Boxing Day sale not as advertised
27 December 2023

Boxing Day sale was not as advertised. I added 10 pairs of boxer briefs with fly to my cart but the ‘buy 4 get 6 free’ discount was not applied as advertised. Technically this should mean that my buy price should have been $140 however when I added my 10 pairs it was still saying $310 at time of entering of payment details with only a $40 discount, so no 6 free at all which from my tertiary study and work experience would constitute false advertising or at very best extremely misleading. Very disappointing as I am a fan of the product generally, just found this sale to be particularly misleading and very poorly executed with minimal stock availability, which meant I could only pick from 2 colours anyway.

So far I have had close to a 100% failure rate with the exception of the first two original pairs purchased in 2019 and manufactured back in 2018, which are still in good wearable condition. I allege that some time after December 2018 their manufacturing process changed resulted in a premature wear hole to appear at the bottom seam join with the Lycra panel. So far I have had around 5 pairs replaced under warranty for this exact concern over the last 2 years. The team at Step One reckon this isn’t a common issue, but a near 100% failure rate on garments I have purchased over the last two years I will allege that they do indeed have a known ongoing quality issue.Add to this a change in their garment waistband in early 2019, which is leading to waistband premature deformation (3 pairs replaced so far for this failure mode) and you have a clear case of product that is not fit for purpose or of acceptable quality under Australian consumer law.I'm happy for Step One to keep sending me replacement product, at least they honour their obligations under Australian Consumer Law and I don't need to purchase additional Step One underwear. I told them I don't want a refund, they can keep sending me replacement garments until they fix the quality.I will be keen to know if the Step One CEO will take an aggressive attitude in responding to this review like he did last time I posted a review, but hey what do I know about quality and fit for purpose under consumer law??If you are a existing or new Step One customer and read this review, make sure to submit a warranty claim and ask for a replacement pair of Step One's, and don't feel embarrassed, you are worth more than the $30 you end up paying for a single pair of these garments.
