We have recently bought an acre of totally overgrown woodland and old coppice. This amazing mini chainsaw is proving to be an invaluable tool - even tackling the tricky removal of low hanging oak branches that were thicker than its bar length. Because it can be used one-handed, I was able to cut (even left-handed) while still holding onto the ladder! The battery lasts well, even with very hard use, but I’m glad we bought a second one. I am a very short woman of nearly sixty - this mini chainsaw lets me tackle some really arduous tasks without exhaustion.

While I really love the tools this battery runs. I have a small hand with VERY limited grip, I really struggle to remove the battery from both the charger and the tools it is fitted to. At times I have needed another erson to change the battery. The little chainsaw and the clippers have given me garden independance changing the battery absolutely has not. This should go hand in hand (Lol)

Battery arrived and was almost fully charged upon receipt. Tested the battery in the product I have from Stihl and it works perfectly. This gives me the extra battery I need to keep going when I am using the tool.

Love the mini chainsaw ( pruner) Got 80 cuts out of it approx 20 mins run time but takes 70 mins to re charge so yes need a spare. One thing I found though was the battery got hot and cut out. If you do cut after cut without stopping then it heats up and refuses to work until its cooled down. found doing one cut then releasing trigger to allow machine to stop then moving onto next cut helped a lot. Good power for even quite good diameter branches so all in all happy but with it taking an hour and 10 mins to charge you really need two spares to be able to keep on working. I am very happy as a lifetime 65 years of using hand saws this makes life SO much easier and FUN !!! cant wait to use it again the a answer to my prayers
Over the years I used several Hedgetrimmers nothing come close to the Stihl, light in weight very quiet and easy to handle, performs very well.Highly recommended.
There was some initial confusion regarding the second battery being included in the purchase price - BUT the great staff at Browns Bay Stihl Shop soon sorted that. I LOVE using the little trimmer. It is perfectly suited to my needs.
The item is perfect for what I bought it for. I actually bought 2! I was told that it fits both hand tools I have and it doesn’t. I only wanted it for the one so suits me but would have been handy to be able to use duel purpose. Also I have been after these batteries since I bought tool and there was no stock. Lots of people were after them they should send to all customer who purchased this that they have extra batteries available now as all blogs say none anywhere!
Tiny underpowered battery that doesn't last so need a spare. Got this for the underwhelming GTA26 pruner mini chainsaw. Don't get me wrong the tool is ok BUT hugely overpriced & battery life is terrible - wife brought this tool for me paying a small fortune for what it is I could have purchased a proper chainsaw. The main problem is the underwhelming battery life, had to buy this just so I could get more use out of it, batteries roughly last 10 to 15 minutes if your lucky & only doing light work. I wouldn't recommend the tool or the battery & am sure there are better & cheaper alternatives out there.
the batteries I bought work fine, the price is........ the price, bought them on special, so, it hurts less.....I now have 4 of these batteries to use with the little chainsaw,as, the batteries only give about 10 to 12 minutes of useful cutting time, - no doubt there is a limit on how many amp hours can be crammed into these batteries, which probably use 18650 lithium cells, no doubt stihl are erring on the side of caution to avoid potential overheating during use with higher amp hr batteries, and there is a limit to how powerful (amp hr) these 18650 cells can hold, I'm not unhappy with the saw and batteries, it is what it is, and the saw does prove useful - with-in it's limitations
yes, well the battery works, and it's doing a big job running a mini chainsaw, however for the job I used the tool for, this battery - and the spare one I bought, only lasted about 10 to barely 15 minutes per charge,I'm well aware there limitations with batteries, and these are a compact pack of three 3.6v cells rated at 2.1ah, the pack just needs more capacity,one other thing that I was unaware of when I bought the GTA 26 mini-saw recently was, this battery does NOT fit the first generation HSA 26 pruning tool which I've had for some time now, that was a trap for young players, - so, that means another battery charger ******* to the wall ..........
