I have never appreciated rain jackets much until I bought a Stutterheim Stockholm. This is truly the best raincoat I have ever owned. I can tell this is going to be a coat I use for many years to come and is going to stay in great condition. I bought it in black and am debating getting another fun color because I LOVE THIS COAT. Would suggest it to anyone!

Beautiful looking and high quality; very good for waterproofing. Isn't too breathable, so don't expect to go running around in this. Also has a bit of a smell when you first order online, but it'll fade over time (pretty quickly). May want to consider sizing down (the jacket is pretty long/slightly baggier).

The jacket is great. The construction is superb and the quality of it is very noticeable. I bought an L after trying a M. The M was too tight around my shoulders and after receiving the L, I've found that it is too wide around the shoulders for me. Regardless, the jacket is great and I wish I had gotten the M instead.

I can tell this is going to be a coat I use for many years to come and is going to stay in great condition. I bought it in black and am debating getting another fun color because I LOVE THIS COAT. I absolutely love this raincoat! I had wanted one for years but kept holding off due to the high price tag, but I finally decided to treat myself and I couldn't be happier with this purchase. The construction feels sturdy, like it will last forever, the fit is true to size, although slightly tight in the shoulder area. The length is decent, allowing for adequate protection from the rain, especially if worn with a pair of tall rain boots, and the sleeve length is perfect for my long arms. I like the grey color, the hood is nice and roomy, and it does a great job keeping the rain out. It looks so nice on me I even wear it when it's not raining. Seriously i love this coat and it should be a lifelong part of my wardrobe. My only regret is not buying one sooner!
I've been wanting a the Stutterheim Stockholm jacket for months now but was hesitant to buy it online since it is men's sizing and I didn't want to deal with buying / sending back / exchanging etc. in case it didn't fit. I was so happy when Nordstrom had them back in stock I got to the store right away to try it on. I'm usually a women's small and purchased the xs in navy blue (the navy blue in person is even better than the photo online), it's still got a little room but overall I like the bigger fit and know I can wear a large sweater or second jacket underneath when the weather gets really cold.Getting compliments on it all the time already and it keeps me super dry in the Seattle rain without all the extra care that non-rubber rain coats need. Loving it!

And while the pockets are nice and large, my issue with the design is that it allows rain to just flow right into them and anything inside will not stay dry. If the pocket openings were vertical, it may solve the problem but be less ergonomic. Ideally the pockets would have flaps to keep rain out. As it is, when raining there is always moisture at the bottom of the pockets and I cannot keep my smartphone in there - something anyone that can afford this jacket will certainly also have in their possession while wearing this.The cut and overall design is modern but it doesn't account for how a modern-day person ... My girlfriend has a very similar coat from Pendleton (which unfortunately they only make for women) that has a double pocket - vertical slits and a top opening with flap. It's perfect in that sense and if Pendleton made one for men I'd certainly have that one.
I bought the burgundy color in XS. I am 5'4 and it is the perfect oversized fit. It should feel oversized because you will be wearing sweaters underneath in the cold. Just by touching the material, I can tell that it's crafted carefully and the material is completely water repellent. You don't have to worry about your clothes getting wet ever!! It's such a sturdy and durable material and I see myself using this for the next decade. I'm in love!!
Sadly didn't fit quite as much as I would have liked it. Fit was boxy (in both M and S; with the latter, the shoulders were too tight). Seems well made though, but it's heavy. They look better than the Rains jackets, but I'm not sure how they justify the price difference, even on sale. Feel like this would also only be suited to the fall. Would be too warm to wear in the summer.
I am a medium in just about everything, but I got this in a small because I heard it ran large. I had to return the small because the I could barely button the top buttons. I returned it and got a medium which fit beautifully. If you are a guy, I recommend taking your normal size. The craftsmanship in this jacket of impeccable. This jacket makes me wish it rained more.
Wanted a sturdy yet somewhat stylish urban rain coat and this one fits all the criteria. I ordered the small size, in petrol blue which is a great color, in hopes it would fit me (I would normally fit XS to S clothing, being 120lb and 5' 6"), knowing the sizes are unisex. I had a feeling I would be an XS but they didn't have any in a color that I liked so I figured I would try the S. I definitely have enough room for a thick layer underneath, question is just if it's too much. I'm undecided if I will keep it or not due to the sizing.
