When sitting in the Tripp Trapp he was noticably more comfortable and focused. He was able to sit and complete his tasks and eat a meal without having the wiggles. I now see why a Tripp Trapp high chair is such a great investment. It can be easily adjusted for all ages. It has been a wonderful product for all three of my children to test with great results. I will be definitely be adding another Tripp Trapp to our family table.

He demanded to be at the table, just like his big brother and the rest of his family (he has major FOMO). We began using a booster seat on a kitchen chair. He tolerated this but, A.) it was an eyesore, B.) It’s hard to clean, and C.) It was hard to keep stable on the chair.Enter, Stokke Tripp Trapp chair. It just looks like another quality piece of furniture - I just love it!When my son first used it, we adjusted the harness, seat, and foot plate with ease. However to adjust it going forward, I beeline you have to loosen up the entire frame. It’s not something I’ll need to do too frequently so I’m not concerned but I anticipate that’ll be a little bit of a pain. With that being the only “flaw” I can identify, I without a doubt feel this is still my favorite chair we’ve used with either of our kids. There’s so many aspects of the chair that I really value. I think my most favorite aspect is that my son can sit at the table with us that he now enjoys using it. Before, it was a fight to get him to sit in his high chair. It even buys me some moments of peace and quiet because he likes being a “big boy” coloring at the table.

This is a great quality product. It is very stable and in the time I’ve had it it has remained in excellent condition despite very consistent use. My biggest issue with the product is when it comes to assembly and design. Assembly instructions were fairly clear and seemed very simple until you get to the seat and footrest. You have to line things up just right in order to attach the high chair attachment and harness, and there is nothing that indicates where to line up the seat. It’s a little bit of trial and error. When assembling the footrest, it’s somewhat similar but ultimately isn’t terribly hard to do. Once you get it all assembled, it is very solid and well built. I love that you can use it as a typical high chair with the tray or push it up to your table like the rest of your chairs. I also like that there are other attachments you can get which make it more versatile, although each added attachment is a little on the expensive side. [Rewarded Review] Great Quality and Longevity

I received the Tripp Trapp high chair as part of the Stellar Testing Panel.Things we have enjoyed about this high chair are: the aesthetics, durability and quality, versatility, and longevity. This high chair is so gorgeous and will go well with any style of home. The cushion and the baby seat are incredibly well made and provide so much comfort and support. The five point harness is easy to use and adjust and adds extra safety. I love that this high hair comes with a footrest. So many do not, despite it being vital to safe eating. The high chair seems to be very well made and durable and I have no doubt this would last through many children and likely even be able to be handed down through generations. The ability to finely tune the fit of this high chair, makes it above and beyond most any other high chair. This is so important to be able to fit it exactly to your individual child and improve their safety and comfort. Lastly, the ability for this high chair to last essentially from birth to adulthood, makes it an easy purchase knowing it will be used for so many years to come!Things we would like to see improvements with are: ease of assembly, ease of altering the fit of the chair itself, and a tray included in the standard purchase of the high chair itself. Although technically, the high chair is easy enough to assemble, the picture instructions are not the most clear. Short, simple instructions but with a few written directions would have helped tremendously to clear up a few things. It also seems somewhat time consuming and tedious to change the position of the footrest once our little one is in need of moving it due to growth. A quick release method would be preferable. Although it isn't something you're having to change daily, I could see it being a little bit of a burden in the future with how quickly kids grow. This isn't something that would deter me from purchasing but might encourage me to purchase if I knew it was that easy to adjust as they grow. I know the ability to bring your child directly up to the table is a big selling point and I love that this chair has that ability - it makes mealtimes with baby more enjoyable and easier. However, personally, we use may like to use a tray about 50% of the time and suspect other families may feel the same. So, I would love to see it included in the standard package as well, instead of it being an add on. However, we will likely be getting a tray so that we can continue to enjoy our new high chair and utilize it to the fullest.Overall, this high chair is of amazing quality and will likely last for as long as you would like, making it an incredible purchase.

[Rewarded Review] Great high chair that grows with our kiddo
13 September 2024

I received the Tripp Trapp high chair as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and was so excited when I did. This had been on my wish list since I was pregnant with my almost-2-year-old but I chose to get a different chair that we used up until receiving this one. Everyone I talked to and everything I read online said that while the Tripp Trapp is pricey, there's no comparison to traditional plastic high chairs. As someone who prioritizes natural materials and eliminating plastic in our household (especially with our children), the solid wood construction was a big draw for me as well. It also is much sleeker than other high chairs and blends in with our home design a bit more. It also is much sleeker than other high chairs and blends in with our home design a bit more. While we loved the other chair we have been using, we really were beginning to look for something that could bring our son to the table with us and the Tripp Trapp was it! As a distractible almost-2-year-old, he does so much better eating if he is at the same table with us during mealtimes and this chair showed us that!We got the infant set and cushion along with the chair itself and I am excited to use that more with our second child (coming soon!). We tried it with our son but he is at the point where he wants to be able to climb up and in on his own and that's not possible with the infant set. So we just use it as a chair for him with the perk of having an adjustable 5-point harness to keep him wrangled in the seat and safe! The infant seat also is right at the level of our table so made it difficult to push his chair in all the way like adults sit, but this is totally possible without that set.I am excited to have this chair for our son and now realize we will need to purchase a second one for our next child because it really is a great option for growing children. I can easily adjust the seat and foot rest as they get bigger and they can begin independently getting to and from the table for family meals thanks to this chair!I now understand the hype around this chair and am solidly on team "every parent needs a Tripp Trapp!"

[Rewarded Review] Infinite customization for little ones comfort

I absolutely love that the Tripp Trapp High Chair2 fits right up to our table and looks wonderful in our house. We have a small townhouse so our kitchen table can be seen right as you walk in our front door. This high chair has helped make our house feel a little less baby/kid but still very functional for our almost two year old!Assembly was a little tedious as I needed to adjust the height of the seat and foot rest a few times to properly fit my daughter. The amount of customization that you can get with the seat and foot rest is amazing (up and down on different slots as well as forward and back within the slots) and is honestly one of my favorite parts of this high chair. In my opinion, the extra work to adjust the seat and foot rest will be far outweighed by the increased lifespan of this chair.I am looking forward to being able to further adjust this chair as my daughter grows to keep her comfortable right at the table with Mom and Dad. It is reassuring that I will be able to keep her in a seated position with her feet on a stable surface while eating all the way until she fits in one of our regular chairs. The classic cushions are a great addition to this chair for additional comfort. They have gotten quite dirty throughout our meal times, but they are very easy to clean as you can just toss them in the laundry. No stains have set in that I have noticed (the pattern does a good job of hiding some subtle coloring from foods as well). Pictures included of a before and after, no scrubbing the food stains out, I just threw it in the wash and it came out looking brand new! I love that the cushion is usable with both the baby set and just the chair as normal. We were unable to use the baby set currently with our table as my daughter was up too high for her legs to fit under the table but I am excited to be able to test out the baby set with our baby #2 that is on the way. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this high chair!

We’ve tried many high chairs and across the four kids have developed a sense for what works, what is worth the extra money and what is just aesthetics. The chair looks lovely. Definitely not the colorful or plastic monstrosity so many high chairs are. This blends in with my white kitchen and grey walls nicely! When you’re using it at the dining table, it works well and keeps the kids from moving around, getting my nice chairs dirty, wiggling around so they fall off, etc. The cushion it came with looks really nice, nothing about it screams high chair. The construction is totally solid - nice heavy wood (not particle board!) with an ergonomic footrest that’s easy to adjust. Quality of this chair is not in question! In terms of function, that’s where the chair falls short unfortunately. The Tripp Trapp only has a 5 point harness or strap of any sort when used with the baby set. The baby set is aimed for kids up to 36 months, but I struggle to get our very average sized 1.5 year old twins in and out of it. I feel terrible having to squish their legs in the hard plastic! They are too young to sit without a harness though, and we learned the hard way with the foot rest that they MUST be buckled in with the 5 point harness or they can easily stand right up and try to climb out. Thankfully we were watching closely or they would have fallen. It was really disappointing to me that the harness can only be used with the baby set, and that the baby set is so small. The other disappointing thing was that even though this is labeled as a high chair, the tray must be purchased separately. We alternate eating at our kitchen island and dining table so while sliding the chair up to the table is great, the tray is essential for our family. I would have hoped for the price of this chair it would come fully functional as a typical “high chair.”

We have been using this Tripp Trapp high chair with our youngest child who is a 20 month old toddler. It was given to us to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and this high chair has been a game-changer for our family at mealtime! Before, my toddler either sat at a small kid table or on our laps, but now it’s so nice to have him safely in his own chair, right at the table with us for family meals. He also sits in this high chair to scoot up to the table and do arts and crafts with his older homeschooled siblings. He loves sitting in it, and I love how beautiful it is as well as how easy the harness is to use. It keeps him secure without being restrictive, and the sleek design fits perfectly with our kitchen decor. The ergonomic features of the Tripp Trapp high chair are another huge win. The adjustable footrest is easy to maneuver and really makes a difference in keeping him comfortable and supported while eating. We used baby-led weaning when he was learning to eat solid food, and having the adjustable footrest back then would have made that process even smoother. The fact that this chair will grow with him as he gets older is great and in my eyes makes it worth the investment knowing we will be using this chair for years to come. The only criticisms I have are that it took a little longer to assemble than I expected, and if we want the option for him to eat in the highchair alone, we’d have to purchase the tray separately, which is a bit of a bummer. However, in the grand scheme of things, these wouldn’t deter me from choosing this chair again. Overall, the Tripp Trapp high chair is a high-quality, long-lasting investment that’s been a huge blessing for our family!

[Rewarded Review] Nice but expensive

I was initially so excited to receive this highchair as part of the stellar panel. Upon its arrival it was packaged nicely, and easy to assemble. However I quickly realized it was too short for my counter height table and they do not make any kind of attachment to raise it to the correct height at this time. This problem could be resolved with an additional purchase of the tray but I found the price too steep to justify.First impression is that it’s aesthetically pleasing, but difficult to get my 2 year old in and out. He’s still too young to sit in chair without the safety straps but the seat at the highest setting is hard for him to get in and out, even with assistance. He’s still too young to sit in chair without the safety straps but the seat at the highest setting is hard for him to get in and out, even with assistance. The cushion is very nice, soft material, and just feels luxurious. Seat adjustment is physically not a difficult task, but the know how to make the proper adjustments to your child’s height is a daunting task.Since we could not use this chair at our kitchen table I moved this into our homeschool room. However at the height adjustment that the safety harness worked at the highchair was just a bit too tall for normal desk height.I removed the safety harness and adjusted the seat for my 5 year old to use as a desk chair. It worked great for this and she really enjoyed having a foot rest/step to help her get up and down.It really can be used from birth (with the right accessories that of course come with an added price). We sit at the table for every meal and it would be great to include newborns so close to the table to be with family and be in a safe space while everyone eats. However a major turn off about this highchair is everything is sold separately and so expensive. A lot of the accessories cost more than the price of a cheaper highchair. I really prefer to buy everything all in one as opposed to being sucked into purchase after purchase sOver all I do like this highchair. It’s high quality, easy to clean and feels sturdy. I really hope an adjustment can safely be made to this highchair in the near future to make this usable at our dining table. A lot of families eat at kitchen islands and bars that are higher than average size tables and this item will not work for them. As it is now, it’s really not a feasible item that I would ever buy or recommend to the average family, especially at the high price point.

[Rewarded Review] Very good quality high chair

I was SO excited to learn that I was getting to try a Tripp Trap high chair! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this high chair.I have heard great things about this high chair from OTs and SLPs I’ve worked with, but the price tag was a little out of my price range. I really love the look of this high chair, aesthetically it is really pretty, made of good quality wood & has a small footprint! I used this with my 19 month old. It was pretty easy to put together, but I really wish the instructions had words instead of just pictures because we needed to loosen up the sides to get the seat and footplate on & struggled with this a little since it didn’t say anything about this on the instructions.I like the cushion & I scotch guarded it ... MoreI was SO excited to learn that I was getting to try a Tripp Trap high chair! It was pretty easy to put together, but I really wish the instructions had words instead of just pictures because we needed to loosen up the sides to get the seat and footplate on & struggled with this a little since it didn’t say anything about this on the instructions.I like the cushion & I scotch guarded it to make it easier to clean. This definitely made this seat more comfortable than the other chair I had been using with my son. He really liked that he could (try) to climb into it himself and that was fun! The feature of pulling it up to the table was nice, but I don’t love the plastic guard piece that helps hold him in because it is the same height as my table so he can’t get as close as I’d like because it pushes right into the table edge and I worry his fingers will get pinched each time I push him in. He also has figured out how to get out of the harness and does NOT like wearing it at all because it comes up and over his shoulders. The other chair he has just had a lap belt and he can push up to the table without a plastic guard or shoulder straps and this is much better for him, I wish this had the option for full harness or just lap harness & no plastic guard. When he gets bigger taking the plastic piece off will be amazing and I love that it will grow with him and I know it will last because it is so well made.OverallPros: it is well made, it grows with kids, it will last, is adjustable & is made out of wood. It looks great and works well! It has lots of options to add on & is versatile.Cons: instructions don’t have words, the harness has to go over shoulders and can’t just be lap, you have to use the plastic guard with the harness & the plastic guard is not adjustable height.
