This is my first purchase of Sufix 832 came braid, and I've yet to use it. However, I have used the basic moss green version and found it to be one of the toughest, if not the toughest, braided lines available. This is top flight stuff. I use it primarily for hard-charging coho salmon up to 15 lb range, fish that can deliver quite a shock to terminal gear. Like most braids, it does require a short break-in period.

I have been using PowerPro braid for the last year or so. I started having line breakage during the cast, causing me to lose some nice lures. I decided to give the Sufix 832 Advanced braid a try. Wow! This stuff is amazing. It is definitely smaller diameter then PowerPro. I put the full 300 yards of 20 lb on my reel with a little room left over. After a full session of long casts, I can find no problem with this line. No wind knots. No breakage. Long casts. Looks like I've found my new favorite braid.

Really can’t say I like this line. It’s much ticker than some other lines, I find that it’s easier to damage this line, and knots get frayed going through the guides. If you re-tie often it will serve the purpose but I don’t think this should be a first choice since there’s so many other products on the market.

I use 20 lb and 30 lb Suffix 832 for inshore reds, trout, and flounder. In more than a dozen years of fishing with it I have never had a fish break this suffix braid. Last year I caught a 52" redfish on this 20 lb line. He pulled the boat around for ten minutes, and the drag would scream when he ran, but we landed that fish and another similar sized old drum (both from 7 foot inshore rods with 2500 sized reels) knowing they would have got away if we were using lesser-quality braid.Tight lines...
What a great product. 10lb test is super strong, casts great, and has no memory.Diameter is super thin. 4lb mono thickness. Was Fishing East Br. Of Clarion River Resivor last weekend, and straightened out hooks before the line broke.
Have used Spiderwire for years and decided to try the Suffix 832. WOW it was superior in the following areas: cast ability was further and more accurate, delamination is zero compared to spiderwire which frays after a few hundred casts, and zero memory on a spincastinv reel. Was definately worth the few extra bucks!
I have tried other braids over the years, but haven't found one that matches 832 in terms of strength/diameter ratio, minimal water resistance, and long life. It costs a bit more than many of the braids on the market, but not enough more to offset its advantages. I often run it for a couple seasons on my reels.
Since Berkeley stopped nanofil, I had to search for a new line. Figured I would try something different than fireline for once even though it's done me well. The sale price made it cheaper than the spiderwire durabraid I was looking at so I went for it. Little more than halfway into spooling my reel I felt 2 knots through my fingers. Stopped and backed it out to find it looked like the line was melted in multiple spots causing burrs in the line and clearly see where it was half the size it should have been. I'm typically a guy that sticks with a brand till it burns them, Suffix burned me the first try. Back to fireline I guess.
I have been using 20 lbs 832 Braid for 1 1/2 seasons. I have it on a 2500 series Pflueger President reel. I do get some wind knots. All my reels are Pflueger Presidents that are spoiled with Fireline and one 3500 series is spoiled with 30 lb Spiderwire. The 30lb Spiderwire is unequivocally the best, I have had it on my real for five years now absolutely zero problems. I fish three days a week in open water season spider wire is by far the best I have ever used. And the colorholds up extremely well. However in the20 lb I can’t say the same. Actually it was horrible. So I tried 20 lb Sufix 832 and glad I did. It knots up every know and then. But if you take a deep breath and cool your jets for a moment the knots come out with just a little patients. I have had 100% ... MoreI have been using 20 lbs 832 Braid for 1 1/2 seasons. Fireline knots come out pretty good to but not a 100% successful all the time. I will be trying 832 to replace my Fireline in lighter line strengths 8 to 10 lb.I noticed the 832 line holds its shape longer and doesn’t get fuzzy looking. Plus I have never cut my hand grabbing new 832. Fireline will cut your hand when it’s new. Now I know why they call it Fireline because it burns like hell.
