Not the camo blue color i had wanted. Seller did msg me that there's no stock on the color that I had ordered but didnt see the message until later which by that time the seller had already sent another color. Didnt want the hazzle of doing the return process so excepted the low viz green color that came. But strange, the seller is still selling the camo blue color on the site when there's no stock.

When a cement piling cost you a slot sized red fish, it's time to replace your mono with a top performing braid. Suffix 832 is great for midsize spinning reals that you would normally fill with 12lb mono. I fish a number of industrial docks in around the Texas Coastal Bend and mono just won't get that job done in that environment. Braid is what you need when a fish heads for the safety of a cement bulk head in deeper water. Don't get broke off; make the change!

So, I got this about a year ago and my experience with this line was horrible.Based on all that I've heard about braid and the details on this specific brand, I thought that this would be a great investment for my fishing gear. The line first snapped from abrasion about after a few months of ownership (I take part responsibility for this). The next time the line snapped was when I was bringing in a small fish (Not even close to 5lbs.), the line at the end looked perfectly fine and I could see no reason to cause a snap other than bad line. The third time the line snapped was when I was casually reeling in a jerk minnow, I knew that it had snapped because it had snapped above the snap swivel I had connected to my jerk minnow; I was fishing in open open water, so ... MoreSo, I got this about a year ago and my experience with this line was horrible.Based on all that I've heard about braid and the details on this specific brand, I thought that this would be a great investment for my fishing gear. Good low weight line
14 December 2023

Good line. Great value especially when it’s on sale. It isn’t the smoothest braid, but it isn’t the roughest either. I prefer power pro super v8. Also Zalts bass hard braid, if those can be found. But for 15 and under poundage the suffix works great. I use the high vis for my ultra light and light setups. Pretty good for that. And it takes a leader knot well. Hard to beat value.

Nice looking line, looses it's color while loading my 2 baitcast reels. I wish I had taken pics of my fingers while spooling my 2 reels up.???
26 August 2022

I haven't used it to fish yet but as far as the coloring goes, it needs some work. When loading my 2 reels with the 30lb and 65lb braid the coloring came off both spools where I held the line to keep it tight and even on my reels. My thumb and forefinger where both covered in the green die, I had stripes across both fingers which other braid I had used never did. I know once it get into the water I will loose a lot of the color. I hope it doesn't change to much because I never had much luck using braid. I'm 70 so I can't be trying every brand out there to find one that holds it color. I read all the comments on this kind and thought it was one brand that would retain most of it's color. I'm going to have to stick to my Mono, the Silver Thread brand, it can be hard ... MoreI haven't used it to fish yet but as far as the coloring goes, it needs some work. I own 5 Large spools and 6 smaller salt water ones that are the easiest and best, strongest and thinnest Line I ever bought. Example on 8lb test I caught a 21 1/2lb Catfish in fast water, A 41 1/2inch Musky in fast water. Thie line never left me down, I hope this braid works better then I feel it's going too! Tight Lines to All.

Sufix 832 Braid
29 March 2024

Top quality braid. As per other reviews I've read, it's not rough like a piece of string, and has a nice smooth finish.I've had no issues with tying the improved albright or FG knot.Thin diameter for it's breaking strain, but breaks well above it's actual rating. So impressed that I'm putting this line on all my other outfits. If your undecided about using it, give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Ten plus years of Suffix 832!
29 August 2023

I’ve been using Suffix 832 for many years. I primarily fish the 6# in freshwater and for bonefish and permit in the Keys and the Bahamas. Its breaking strength is more than 10#. It maintains its shape and color for more than a year. I’ve caught permit to 28# and lots of big bluefish and Stripers of Martha’s Vineyard. At the end of the season I put the line from one reel onto another stopped reel so that the line is reversed and I get two years of fishing from one filler spool. For baitcasters I prefer 12-20 # line simply because it easier to work with heavier line when I get a “professional overrun.” Never broken 832 braid! I fish it with a fairly long leader of floro or mono depending on which lure I’m using.

What I get for trying something new...
12 May 2024

Since Berkeley stopped nanofil, I had to search for a new line. Figured I would try something different than fireline for once even though it's done me well. The sale price made it cheaper than the spiderwire durabraid I was looking at so I went for it. Little more than halfway into spooling my reel I felt 2 knots through my fingers. Stopped and backed it out to find it looked like the line was melted in multiple spots causing burrs in the line and clearly see where it was half the size it should have been. I'm typically a guy that sticks with a brand till it burns them, Suffix burned me the first try. Back to fireline I guess.

Wind knots come out easy
23 July 2020

I have been using 20 lbs 832 Braid for 1 1/2 seasons. I have it on a 2500 series Pflueger President reel. I do get some wind knots. All my reels are Pflueger Presidents that are spoiled with Fireline and one 3500 series is spoiled with 30 lb Spiderwire. The 30lb Spiderwire is unequivocally the best, I have had it on my real for five years now absolutely zero problems. I fish three days a week in open water season spider wire is by far the best I have ever used. And the colorholds up extremely well. However in the20 lb I can’t say the same. Actually it was horrible. So I tried 20 lb Sufix 832 and glad I did. It knots up every know and then. Fireline knots come out pretty good to but not a 100% successful all the time. I will be trying 832 to replace my Fireline in lighter line strengths 8 to 10 lb.I noticed the 832 line holds its shape longer and doesn’t get fuzzy looking. Plus I have never cut my hand grabbing new 832. Fireline will cut your hand when it’s new. Now I know why they call it Fireline because it burns like hell.

simple, unscientific test you can try yourself
8 March 2023

I've been using 15lb power pro v2 for a number of years and just considered switching to Sufix 832 or Yo-Zuri Superfine and here's what I tried: took a piece of yo-zuri hd-carbon flouro leader and used Albright knots to tie new PP v2 on one end and new 832 on the other end of the leader, and then pulled really hard. Did this twice. In both cases the 832 broke about 4 inches up from the flouro knot.. I then cut a fresh piece of fluoro, spooled off some new PP v2 and some new Yo-Zuri superline and performed the same test twice. On both tries the fluoro broke near the centre of the piece. And so, I think that's it for me and 832, fishing lures aren't cheap and I'd rather not think I lost a large fish because of a line that I now know is weaker straight out of the package.
