This toaster is great value for a number of reasons but the biggest for me was the number of "bread type" options. I wish it had the "bit more" button but over-all a great machine. The issue I had with big 4-slice "dual slot" toasters is they don't toast evenly. You don't have this problem here and with deep slots it takes artisan sourdough easily. Love the countdown lights on the dial, helps me plan!

Sure, it looks great, but other than that, nothing much to recommend it.Slots aren't long (or deep) enough for anything other than standard sized bread, and although it has settings for sourdough, etc, unless your sourdough has all the same sized slices, you'll find it impossible to get the wider slices from the middle of the loaf to fit, so you either have to cut some bits off the sides, or toast one half vertically, then the turn the other way to finish.Both sides do not toast equally, and one side has to be set for a least another 1-2 settings higher to come out the same as the other side.

I've been using this toaster every morning with different types of bread, my husband likes White bread and I have Grain. It's amazing how the different types of bread toast evenly on both sides at the same time. I always had this struggle with my old toasters. I am very happy and satisfied! I highly recommend it!It also brings a fresh new look to my kitchen. It looks beautiful, very stylish! Yay!

Great that the slots are wide but the length is far too short. Besides that, it’s an unattractive design and the the crumb trays are at the back. Last toaster (not this brand) had intelligently put the crumb trays at the front, had long slots and was of a far more elegant look.
This is the third Sunbeam toaster in over 40 years. The first was bright orange but the new one looks super cool in white. It looks a quality product but is a little flimsy in some areas. First slice is quite quick and all subsequent slices are consistent. Cannot comment on reliability as we have only had it for a few weeks, but so far so good.
I couldn't be happier with my choice, I use my toaster every single day and it doesn't disappoint me at all.At home, we are truly bread LOVERS and the 'bread select' makes very easy for us to get perfect toasts and browning - We don't even have to worry about it. The best thing is that we can place different pieces of bread on each side of the toaster at the same time and choose different temperatures for them - this makes life easier when you live with someone else that eats a different bread than you!We haven't used the Gluten Free button yet, but I thought the idea was really cool and I had never seen something like this before on the market.

Sometimes it does not toast evenly, with one side of a piece of toast well browned and the other light, or two consecutive cycles toasting the same bread type producing differing results.The other is that it is initially not intuitive to use. There are no detailed instructions in the manual or on the Sunbeam website on how to use the dials and its not obvious because you can't set the bread type until after starting the toasting. Once you know, its easy to use.Instructions: The black dial does not rotate - its just a display. To set the the bread type first you need to put the bread in and press the toasting lever down to start the toasting. Only then can you quickly, and repeatedly, press the Bread Select button until the correct bread type lights up. The same with the Gluten Free button. At any time you can rotate the matt silver browning dial, either before toasting, or during toasting, to add or decrease toasting time. See my photo diagram.Unlike other toasters, all the progress indicator lights come on at the start, regardless of bread type or degree of browning required. This is good because you always have a good idea of how long there is left to completion.
We bought this toaster about 12 months ago from appliances online. We have used it for gluten free bread every morning since then.The settings seem to be a bit of a gimmick. It doesn't seem to matter what setting we choose. The toast comes out different every time. Sometimes not cooked enough, sometimes burnt. We can set each side of the toaster to the exactly the same settings and get a different result on each side.There is also a lip on the inside top edge of the slot, which catches the toast and won't let it out. I have to turn it off and stick my fingers in it almost every time I make toast.I have had worse toasters, but this one is pretty close.
I bought this toaster online so couldn't check the quality in person. It looks great but is cheaply made. After 2 weeks of use one of the toasting leavers wouldn't go down without a lot of force. It was getting stuck on something. My previous toaster (another brand) had a much more sturdy leaver! Returned it and got it replaced thinking it was just a dud, but the replacement toaster blew our fuse twice when we pushed the lever down on second use! I wouldn't buy this brand again
Love this toaster. The various bread options alter the cooking times and is great for gluten free bread. The countdown timer lights is good for helping with timing of cooking other breakfast items. Looks great, very functional and doesn't dry out your bread during toasting.
