Kettle has cute little sounds and beeps. For example, when you first turn it on it makes a start up sound.I’ve owned this appliance for over 2 months. Love the features with the set temperatures. It stays reasonably clean regardless of the usage. I might just have to give it a quick wipe.My only criticism is I would like if the kettle stayed warm on that specific temperature when you select it. However, it’s easy enough to press the button to get it going again.

We just recently added the Alinea Select Kettle to our bench and I am glad we did. As you can imagine with working from home the kettle is getting plenty of work out and it is doing it with ease. I love having the ability to select the temperature depending on if I am having a normal tea or going herbal. This kettle also boils extremely quickly and even does a little jingle to let you know it’s ready - which is super cute, though took me a couple of boils to remember it was the kettle and not the phone though. But by far my favourite thing about this kettle is how quiet it is. You really don’t realise how much you appreciate a quiet boiling kettle until you have one!Its also super sleek and stylish and looks great on my kitchen bench with its matte black finish!

I am very impressed with the Alinea Select Kettle White KE2800W. It has fantastic features and is a beautiful quality. The matte finish makes it easy to wipe over and keep clean. The only reason I rated 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is more of an off white in colour that pure white. So I would say 4.5 stars.

Initially I was absolutely thrilled with this kettle as it was sleek, quiet, fast boiling and I loved the variable temperature settings.Then within 1 month, the chrome coating at the base of the handle started to flake and peel off! I had it replaced with the same model and exactly the same thing happened with the replacement!For the price of this kettle I certainly did not expect anything like this to happen and I am extremely disappointed.I certainly would NOT recommend this product!!!
Love my new kettle. Always wanted to get one that had adjustable temperatures and this one does just that. Love the display and even the very polite quiet chime when kettle has reached desired temperature. Of white, great quality. Pours well and looks fabulous.
I absolutely loved this kettle unfortunately I have had to swap it out now two times in less than 12 months it's just randomly boiled and then just dies. Apart from this issue it's a great kettle about to refund one I swapped 3 weeks ago must be the humidity with all the rain or something I don't know but I'm a tea lover and this kettle just dies. Drives me nuts when I just want to unwind with a cuppa after the kids are in bed SOS
I've always wanted a kettle with different temperature settings, and when I saw this one matches my coffee machine I had to get it.Cons: The handle is plastic, although I guess that keeps it cool to touch. You have to take the lid off manually to fill the jug which can be a bit hot if you need to refill it straight away. Not that I’d ever expected to need this function but It’s great that the water tank lights up so you can still see how much water is left in low light conditions. It is super easy to clean and I love being able to choose what temperature I want the water depending on whether I’m boiling it for a cup of tea or using it for cooking. You can also just boil the water if that’s what you want to do.This kettle is also a lot quieter than my last kettle was which is another added bonus!! We replaced a kettle which had cost almost 3 times as much as the Sunbeam Alinea.I chose it for style and functions - we bought it on sale, it was delivered the next day.Very happy with our new appliance, especially the ability to select different temperatures, it is easy to use, removable lid is much better than a flip up lid and appearance is quite stylish. Hopefully it will last us quite a few years.Super impressed with next day delivery included in price (-:

That saves energy instead of filling to the brim. There's a water capacity indicator on the kettle behind the arm.Select the temperature for the particular brew. Wait. The heating processs is quiet. On completion of the heating process, the first few notes of the song "Younger Than Springtime" from Rogers' and Hammerstein's "South Pacific" is played to indicate the heating or boiling is over. By the way when the power is switched on, the same few notes are played.Since this is an electronically controlled appliance, I switch the mains powerpoint off to reduce the risk of any surge currents damaging the appliance due to fluctuatuions in the mains such as brownouts and thunderstorms.I chose a white finish because it is easier to spot dirt and clean. Remember if the appliance was another finish, the appliance would still attract the same dirt. But in this case the dirt is difficult to detect and remove. That is the same reason I drive a white car.Overall the Alinea Select is nice to look at and not so noisy when heating or boiling water. I switch off the powerpoint when not in use for protection against power surges AND save on energy costs by not kedping the kettle on standby.Thank youAnthony if exciting Belfield, my kinda town
