I'm absolutely delighted with my Chic Collection Kettle and Toaster. I ordered the yellow set at first but ended up changing it for the black. Myer are always so obliging. The kettle is light and easy to handle and boils quickly. The toaster works very well and has a range of settings. The classic retro feel looks fantastic in our kitchen.

The only issue is the filter in the spout means the first weak bit of your water pour, when you're just tilting the kettle, is messy and wobbly and if you're not watching could hurt yourself or others.Toaster looks good, but doesn't have a lot of exta push up to retrieve shorter bits of toast, so you're probably going to need to use something to grab them out. The metal part above the push-down also gets incredibly hot, so if you're tempted to use it for leverage to push your toast out, you will burn your fingers. Looking at the image online I thought these would be more of a Navy blue Matt finish. Just note for anyone buying it is more of a Teal with a slight sparkle to it so when it catches the light it has a gold reflective effect. They work great though, the smaller kettle is perfect for quick boiling. They look really good next to other and bring a great accent colour to the kitchen.

The quality of both the kettle and toaster exceeded my expectations. The kettle is nice and quiet and the toaster is quick and provides even toast. The appliances are also a great size and don't take up much bench space at all. Wrapped with the Sunbeam combo and highly recommend these products!
The colour is awesome, love it. Kettle works perfectly. Toaster toasts one side and not the other. If you turn it up, of course it burns one side while the other sides nicely toasted. My old cheap toaster did this. I wouldn’t expect it with a Sunbeam. Very dissatisfied and looking to get yet another toaster. Uggghhhhh
I purchased this matching set of kettle and toaster as they have to sit next to each other on the kitchen bench, and I like a simple uncluttered look. Also, buying the set was cheaper than buying two seperate appliances. They are both well made, stainless steel with some plastic parts, with a pearl white finish that is easy to keep clean. I prefer the side handle on the kettle as I've got arthritis and find top handle kettle difficult to use. This has 'one handed filling' with a button on the handle that flips up the lid. The kettle itself is 1.7 litre capacity. The fill indicator on the side is clear on a white background with black numbering, and frankly there's not enough visual contrast between the clear plastic and clear water to see how full it is. The 'on' switch does have a light, so you can tell it's turned on. Compared to my last kettle this is noisy. It's initially quiet and then starts to make a gentle noise as it heats up, then gets louder and louder. I can put the kettle on, go to another room, have the doors closed, watch TV, have the heater fan blowing, and still hear the kettle heating and then clicking off. I'll get used to it but if you want a quiet kettle then this is not for you. The toaster is a very basic small two slot, with a dial for browning, that is clearly marked and has a nice sturdy feel when you turn it the dial, clicking through the numbers 1-7. 3 buttons - cancel, reheat, defrost - light up when you press them. When you put in the bread and push down the lever, the cancel light turns on, and if you want to stop the toasting at any time you just press cancel and the bread pops up. You can lift the lever higher to get access to small bread or muffins. I've toasted several different types of sliced bread (wholegrain, soy linseed, fruit bread, and English muffins) and they've all come out darker on one side. I REALLY HATE THIS - and it was one of the reasons I replaced my old toaster. I want a piece of toast brown the same on both sides in one go - not have to toast, check, turn, change slots etc etc. So, bottom line, these are nice looking appliances with basic functions. If you're on a budget they're ok, but expect a noisy kettle and an uneven toast. Maybe it's just mine and yours will be better?
I'm happy with this set. It looks nice and matches my other stuff and everything is functional!The toaster is a uneven in both slots, and doesn't make a very nice sound when the toast pops if you care about that.As for the kettle, the pour is ugly. You have to tip the kettle quite far for water to start coming out, and when it pours it almost feels as if there is not spout if that makes sense.But those are all of the cons, I'm overall happy with the set and would recommend since it's cheap!
The kettle and toaster looked great, however the toaster only toasts on one side. The outer elements didn't work. The kettle was fine.Appliances Online replaced both the next day which was great until I found the second toaster had the same problem and the paint on the kettle was peeling and patchy.Cheap but not worth the cost.
We have purchased this toaster to match our kettle in white. One side of the toaster failed to work after being cleaned so returned to store. Used second one for 6 months and same issue one side of the toaster fails to work. Store will now not give return. Very short term use for the price. No issues with the kettle from the Chic range.
Both these products work beautifully. I have had a much dearer toaster many years ago that was a shocker, this one toasts beautifully. The colour brightens my kitchen and my day. Thank you Sunbeam, thank you Myer, as usual for your prompt and professional deliver.
