I bought this heating pad a couple months ago for back pain. I wasn't sure how often I would use it since I've had standard heating pads in the pat that end up sitting in a drawer. However, this is wearable and I end up wearing it just sitting down working on college courses online. Even when my back is not hurting. It is very soft. The magnetic front keeps it in place. It is weighted and that helps keep it in place as well. The only thing that I wish, is that it was a little longer, so instead of stopping mid back, it would get my lower back as well. I did just see the xxl version and will probably be getting that one.

I bought two of these wonderful heating pads a few months ago, one for me and one for my daughter. We both have fibromyalgia, and mine manifests itself quite often in my shoulders and the back of my neck. This heating pad is the perfect solution for me. It hits the pain in exactly the right places and relieves it within just a few minutes. The relief it gives me allows me to take fewer pain relievers & muscle relaxers. There are few times that I say I couldn't have spent my money more wisely, but this is definitely one of those times!

I have found Sunbeam Pain Mgmt Relief Products on QVC 2011 Christmas Shopping! I bought this and it works so well! I have to use heat on my neck and upper back for pain relief. This is so much easier to use then a plain heating pad that wont stay where you want it to. This Sunbeam XL Renue Heat Therapy Wrap is so easy to lift off of my shoulders and flip on the back of my sofa and get up, then sit back down, flip it back on my shoulders in place. I should have ordered it long ago. The heat works fast, it doesn't get too hot, that it burns you like the old heating pads, but hot enough for comfort. I didn't buy the one with massage, I read reviews of how they hurt your back leaning against it and didn't do any good anyway. Heat settings are warm, low, medium, high at each setting there is a light comes on so you know where it is set at. There is also a light at the bottom of the control that stays on while you have it on it is the "auto on" light, I noticed it blinks when it is getting ready to shut off. If you want to turn it back on you can start it again. Very nice item.

I noticed that the price has come down a bit since I bought mine at $49.99+tax. But honestly, $150 in 6 years is a bit much. It’s not like I’m abusing the thing by twirling it in the air like a lasso! At first I thought warranty was just 2 years (maybe it used to be? or store website says 2), but Sunbeam’s website says the Renue XL has a 5-year warranty. If the same thing has happened with 3 of the same model, obviously there is a design flaw, Sunbeam. Please fix it!
I bought this at least 2 years ago for my wife Kelly. It has worked perfectly every time we have used it, and couldn't be more satisfied! I'm retired from the City Fire Bureau and use it when my wife will allow me to. You see she uses it every day, summer, winter, spring, and fall. Her mother, Helen had shoulder surgery this past year and spent 4 months rehabbing at our home, and he absolutely loved it!! That is the reason I'm purchasing one for her as a Christmas present. Major browny points will for me! If I ever have a problem with a Sunbeam product I would contact their customer service for help. Seriously this heating pad is a real workhorse,(think Clydesdale
Works, as in it heats up BUT the neck flap needs to extend all around the neck or maybe just 3/4 of the way. Also Sunbeam needs to come up with one what goes down way beyond the waist to heat the lower back/hip areas. I recall seeing one last yr. which is why I came here today to buy it but I no longer see it. Shame.I like that the heat extends to the front which makes it possible for me to use my space heater less. :o) Be nice if you could extend further down the shoulders. Or better yet just make a long electric cape or jacket. That would be ideal for me :o)

I feel as it tends to fold over a little bit and not stay put when sitting in upright position and not leaning against anything. The 4 heat settings are great. With warm, low, medium, and high. It heats up fairly quick. I usually have it set on medium and that is plenty warm. I also wish it was say a little tighter fitting for sitting in the upright position because then I could probably get away with it at a lower setting. When laying down with it, I usually only use the low setting as then there is "pressure" on the spots I am trying to treat. I suffer from chronic neck/ Degenerative Disc Disease and shoulder pain due to car accident. It is plenty big enough it hit all my areas at once. I am 5'1" and it comes at least to the middle of by back. I don't general go to sleep with it on as I use it enough through out the day/evening. It does have the 2 hour shut off, but I also don't sit that long with it on. But if you take it off and forget to shut it off, it is a great feature. I would definitely recommend this product. I haven't had to wash it yet, so I will not rate that. Although it does say you can. I ordered the burgundy colored one and I do like the color, especially since it is a dark color, I don't think it will show any dirt. The cord is plenty long enough as well. When I first received it and used it the first couple of times, it did have a very faint odor. But it did go away after a few uses. It is nice and soft material. I have owned it for over a month now and have not had any issues with. I use it daily, several times through out the day/evening. Overall I am very happy with this product and hope to get many years worth out of it with no issues.
The box it came in shows a women wearing the pad standing up. If I stand or just sitting down, I don't feel the heat very much. It really needs more weight in body area. The rolled edges have weight, and I wish they would have continued with that weight. The instructions on how to wear it are not there. I had no idea there was a magnetic closure. I didn't know whether to wear the neck flap in or out for the best effect. Simple things Sunbeam should have included. I am probably going to return this pad. It is not worth the money I paid for it.

I sometimes wrap it around my head and or under my eyes for pain also. It helps my shoulder also. Sometimes I wrap it around my arm. This is a great product for anyone that had injuries and need relief. I also use it for relief of digestive pain when I get a gluten attack. As you can tell I have more than one neck heating pad. Thank you so much! I would not be able to lead a normal life without the daily/evening use of your products. I would love if you produced an even longer one.
