Great heat delivery; sometimes a tad too hot on the highest setting. I use it at night for my lower back after a long day of working construction. It does help loose those muscles. I do wish it was a bit larger. As far as safety goes; I don't know if it shut off, but there is a quick connect plug on it and I usually end up disconnecting it in my sleep, which may be a positive or negative for some people as a little pressure and movement seems to unplug it!

Conforms very well. I really should get four stars, because it is an impractical size. It should be longer and narrower so that you can put it around the day or around the neck. I guess the size is fine for if you just want to hit the lower back. But longer narrower heating pads are more practical for more parts of the body. I speak as a licensed Physical Therapist PT.

Itâs very heavy so if thatâs not what youâre looking for, it will feel weird. Itâs much smaller than pictured. The clicker is extremely cheap and loud and thereâs no reason for that. I have a Walgreens brand one with a solid, quiet clicker. The attachment from the cord to the pad dislodges easily. Overall a strange concept I wouldnât recommend.

I didn't think a heating pad could ever work this well - it is incredibly soft to the touch, the weight is perfect for staying in place and providing comfort, it heats up gently in about 20 seconds, and the cord is long enough to always reach a plug from where I need to be. The Sunbeam Conform Heating Pad is very nice. We have purchased another because we sometimes need 2 at a time. We have told a few friends about it because it has exceeded our expectations. It's very soft and heats up quickly. I removed one star only because I feel that there should be 4 heat settings instead of 3 because the "low" setting seems to be a little too hot sometimes. If you are alternating ice and heat for an injury, you will be very pleased with this heating pad because it gets very warm when on the "high" setting. If the "low" setting seems too warm, you can turn the pad over and use the other side which is not as warm. We plan to purchase more of the heating pads for Christmas gifts.
I was hunting for a small heating pad that I could use on just one shoulder, and when I read all the complaints about the size I knew Iâd found the right one lol. It has a little weight to it, itâs super soft and heats up more on one side, itâs fantastic! My only gripe is when it auto shuts off (like if you use while falling asleep) the controller flashes and itâs bright - super annoying to wake up to that! But all considering itâs minor, and doesnât affect that itâs a great heating pad. If youâre looking for a full size heating pad for your back this is probably not the right size for you. Great size for shoulder, one side of neck, tummy, or isolated area. Read the dimensions before ordering.

I love this heating padâit heats up sufficiently and has a nice weight to it. My complaint is that it has a weak spot between the cord and the pad. The plastic has somehow snapped (though I never heard a snap) and it repeatedly falls off. Iâm also not even sure that itâs safe to use. Iâll have to contact sunbeam and see if they can fix it expeditiously, or Iâll return to Target and see if a replacement works better.
