This iron has lived up to it’s reputation as has every sunbeam iron I’ve owned over the past 20 years. Love the steam function and the dry option. The plate just glides over fabric easily and effortlessly. The easy fill is fantastic as are all the regular features.

Had this Iron for over two months now and overall satisfied with it.Only bought it because the steam function doesn’t work on my previous iron. That iron (Phillips) has lasted over 20 years it is still going although like I said steam stopped working. I don’t see this iron lasting that long though but then it was quite cheap. When I first received it, it would spit water really bad but I can now iron on steam setting without it leaking but it occasionally still spits water when I use the extra steam button.I didn’t find the customer service to be helpful. I contacted them after receiving my iron about this issue, thinking I received a faulty iron, and they told me they would contact the manufacturer for me which never happened.I don’t find it to be heavy like the ... MoreHad this Iron for over two months now and overall satisfied with it.Only bought it because the steam function doesn’t work on my previous iron. I do prefer a heavier iron, somehow it feels like it’s doing a better job when it’s heavier. One other thing I don’t like is the design of the settings dial, it’s fiddly, too small, no comfortable grip to keep turning on and off constantly like I do, and in an awkward position. Really not the best design but that’s just a minor issue. Also there is no on/off button and if the iron has been on, without being used, even with the dial to zero, after 15 min I starts beeping and you have to actually unplug the cable from electricity. The iron has no “off” function you just always have to unplug it.On a positive note it does heat up quickly. In the end I’m still happy with my iron, the steam works well and it irons well.

This iron is so much better than our last iron. Heats up fast, maintains a consistent temperature and doesn’t spit anything all over the clothes. So surprised an iron at the cheaper end of the market is so good. Outperforms much more expensive irons.

The verve 57 platinum iron by Sunbeam is another excellent example of their high-quality irons.I wanted an all-round iron that heats up quickly and has good steam and this one has that and more.A lot of people comment on cord length and I'm very happy as this one is 2.4 m.The ironing surface is very smooth and it is easy to use on a variety of materials. My purchase was even more satisfying as it was on sale!!
Very easy to use and does a great job. My husband used it on his wedding shirt and was impressed with how well it worked. It spat a bit the first time we used it but that seems to have settled down now (also I feel like most irons spit). Not too heavy, easy to pour the water in, and the cable is a decent length. Got it on sale and think it was well worth it.
I purchased this to replace another Sunbeam Verve I had for 13 years. I tried a Tefal in between and returned it because they try to automate it too much. I iron my work gear every day and I cannot fault this product.Pros:- Super long cord that allows freedom when ironing (much longer than competitor brands)- Fast to heat and great steam - good control over the steam when ironing- Simplistically gets wrinkles out quick without the need to spray water - does its job well- Has controls for no steam, low/med/high outputs- Good heat control- Feels good over clothesAuto turn offCons- RRP is high ($139) but I got it on sale at Myer for $69Definitely recommend Sunbeam products over others. I usually align with other reviewers but on this one I am giving 5 stars and two thumbs up.
This iron is lovely to hold - good grip and not heavy. Irons clothes smoothly and cord length is great - extra length.Irons clothes well and heats up quickly but when ironing items that require steam and high heat need to refill with water tank regularly. The writing on the temperature and steam dial very small so difficult to read unless one has perfect eyesight.
My old iron was a Sunbeam & I was very happy with it.But this iron is the worst iron I have ever used.Hardly any steam which makes it difficult to iron anything. As others mentioned leaves wet dirty marks on my clothes when trying to iron.Do not waste your money. Very disappointed.
Previous iron was similar but Max Glide Gold model which was much smoother to iron with. It ran out of steam after a couple of years service. The Verve 57 model is good for steam and heat but writing on the dial is very hard to read.
The Sunbeam SR6575 Verve Iron is good Iron.Identical to our last one and does a great job.The most amazing thing about purchasing through Appliances Online (apart from having the best price) was this:I ordered the Iron at 10:20pm and it arrived before 9:00am NEXT MORNING.Great Job
