Firstly, this is a small iron. It's good for small items that require intricate ironing, it wouldn't be good for large items like sheets or large size clothing with lots of flat fabric. It's easy on the wrist and shoulder, so if you have arthritis, nerve problems, tendonitis or other hand and shoulder injuries this iron won't aggravate them due to how light and agile it is. The sole plate isn't as smooth as ceramic, but it hasn't stuck to or puckered any of the things I've ironed. Fine with all fabric types (cotton, synthetics etc.). The steam output is decent, but it doesn't hold much water so you have to refill if you're ironing a few clothing items at once. Main downside of this iron is that it doesn't heat up to a very high temperature. You can use the hottest cotton setting on delicate fabrics with no problems, but actually ironing thick cotton and denim with the highest setting requires very slow ironing to get rid of creases. I bought this iron for the small size and steam output compared to others in its size class. Just wish it got hotter.

I needed a small and light iron. We travel all year in a motor home and have to keep weight to a minimum. I have to have an iron and the Prostream was recommended.Wow what a sucess, light, small, just perfect. Bought this for sewing projects. Compact and easy to use. Heats up pretty well. Does not drain water quick. Accidentally left if plugged for more than 24 hours, and I'd say it's got some great safety features, our house is still up, thank God! Highly recommended for crafting/sewing and travel.
