I feel like I should have known this product would be a no-go for me, seeing as I have pretty oily skin and I tend to shy away from face oils. I was persuaded, however, by a salesperson at Sephora who said this one was actually good for oily skin. Yikes was she wrong. This product actually went on feeling ok. It has a nice citrusy scent and it didn’t feel too much right at first. As the day went on, maybe an hour or so later, I looked at my face and it was an absolute grease pit, like I think a audibly laughed when I saw myself. I oil blotted and went on with it. Thirty minutes again….same thing. This was on repeat the entire day. I literally couldn’t wait to get home and wash this stuff off my face. It feels super nourishing for the skin, but not in a heavy occlusive way.My skin is dehydrated, combination and reactive and I also have some pigmentation issues, and I find this oil really helpful for addressing those concerns. This is such a beautiful oil and goes on very nicely under other skincare products, I use it as my fourth step in the morning after cleansing, toning and using an essence and it’s light enough that it can be uses before my peptide serum, snail essence and moisturiser..I also have relatively sensitive skin and this doesn’t irritate it (up to this point). It also doesn’t pill under my sunscreen or makeup which is something I’ve had issues with before with vitamin C products. However, the smell is quite pungent and I don’t might small amounts of fragrance in my products but this is strong so I imagine other people would find it too strong. It works but my face was numb

I noticed the product working the first two times I tried it. It was working well actually. I eased in with my use to avoid a bad reaction. About a week or so in, I started having bad swelling with tingling and numbness all over my face. I wasn’t sure what it was at first because the reaction was delayed but it got stronger each time and once I stopped using the serum my skin calmed down after a few days of no product use at all. I love the company and have used the A+ and Good Genes before and had great results. I’ve also used vitamin C and turmeric infused products from other brands with no issue. Just beware if you’re sensitive! The numbness and tingling was so strange and unsettling! Go easy and listen to your skin. I would recommend it just proceed with caution.

Luxury oil with unique ingredients

I’ve just started using facial oils in the last year, but I’ve tried probably 8 or 9 at this point & this is, by far, my favorite one. It has just the right balance of emollience & absorbability to where you need just a couple of drops for the face, or 4-5 for whole face/neck/decolletage, & it makes your face glowy & moisturized but not greasy. It’s such a lightweight texture & sinks in so well. The smell is very earthy, & took me some getting used to - you can smell the turmeric & ginger - but now I look forward to it!There are so many ways to use it. The after smell of the primrose was strong but each time I use it I got used to it.I’ve been using it for 3 weeks now and I notice my skin is glowing and smoother. My dark circles are a little better and I use less concealer to cover it. I had just a tad bit of foundation and concealer today and noticed I look like my teens again.If they can tone down the smell and reduce the price by a bit, I would regularly buy this.
