Use Luna Sleeping Night Oil at night, directly after cleansing. Massage three to four drops into clean, dry skin on the face, neck, and dcollet. Luna goes from blue to sheer when it is massaged adequately into the skin. For best results when using Luna with Good Genes Lactic Acid Treatment, wait five minutes for Luna to sink in before applying Good Genes for best results. Alternatively, you can use Good Genes in the morning and Luna at night, or on alternate evenings.

I received a deluxe sample of these products from a beauty shopping site and had such great results that I purchased the full-size immediately! Within a few days I noticed brightening, wrinkle reduction, smoothness, plumping, and just overall improvement. The price point is higher than I would normally pay, but the results are absolutely worth it. I have purchased this set multiple times.

Feel so luminous and glowy with both on. Go to size when I’m not replenishing at the same time. Great cost to size ratio. I was sold on good genes first and incorporated it slowly, it’s helped reduce scars, pigmentation, and evened my complexion dramatically more compared to other brands lactic acid. I use just about every other day. I work nights and usually skip it working a night shift. Smells great, I keep in a mini fridge and it’s a cool and lightweight texture. I apply on chest and neck and tend to add an extra day in between when applying on neck. The Luna oil is nice and I like it, though I’m not sure how much it does. I do enjoy the smell and lightweight/glowy feeling. It appears to help maintain the rest of my regimen when I wake up and my skin feels ... MoreFeel so luminous and glowy with both on. I really enjoy the smell but have heard it’s off putting to some, I agree it is a specific scent but I enjoy it. I have lots of mini Luna bottles as I run out of good genes first when purchasing the duo, and a little goes a long way with the Luna oil.

TLDR; Some of us have to PAY to for Good Genes...and that's ok! I would definitely recommend these products! I have acne prone, sensitive, combination skin and was definitely apprehensive at first. I was worried about the Luna night oil being too oily for my skin (as silly as that sounds!) and the Good Genes lactic acid not being worth price point. I was wrong on both accounts. For reference, I would use the Good Genes lactic acid in the morning (follow with SPF, if you do this!!) and the Luna night oil at night, occasionally using the lactic acid treatment with it if I forgot to apply it in the morning. Per the directions on the package, you can use the Good Genes lactic acid treatment daily, morning or night. If you use the Good Genes Lactic Acid treatment at night with the Luna oil, they recommend applying the Luna oil first, then applying the Good Genes lactic acid treatment on top of the Luna oil. The Good Genes lactic acid treatment is one of those products where a little goes a long, long way! One full pump should be all you need for your face/neck area, as tempting as it is to use more than one! It left my skin feeling tingly and refreshed and after 4 weeks, I definitely noticed less fine lines and my skin looked brighter. The Luna night oil was not heavy or dense like I expected it to be. It's a navy blue oil that fades away as you rub it into your skin. Once again, a little goes a long, long way! It comes with a dropper and I rarely use the whole dropper when applying the product. It definitely has a noticable scent of chamomile, so be aware of that if you're sensitive to chamomile. My good review is further emphasized by me running out of the Good Genes treatment and my skin feeling duller, less even, and my break outs coming back with a vengeance.

As someone with hormonal breakouts, this stuff didn't really hit my "you're worth 100.00" mark. I must say I have only Tried the power couple set due to the fear of breaking out (which I did). I think it might he the fragrance in the good genes. I did like the smooth texture of the product, and it didn't kill my skin, but it didn't make it any better either. I might give it another try if I get another sample or it ends up in a beauty box as a deluxe sample. I enjoy drunk elephant protini serum and honeymoon glow a little more right now. I do have to say this will plump your skin while you have it on!
I was happy to get this little kit to try out some of the Sunday Riley products I'd been hearing so much about. They're good, and I was glad to try them. I always appreciate it when brands put out mini sets like this. But would I purchase the full size of either of these? To be honest, no, I don't think I would. I liked the Luna oil especially; I think it's cool to have an effective retinoid in a nice oil like that (and blue tansy is always fun!) If you have the money to burn, then go right ahead. But to be honest, you could go get the Herbivore Lapis oil *and* The Ordinary's Granactive Retinoid 5% in Squalane to mix together, and you'd still have something cheaper than Sunday Riley's Luna (and you'd avoid the unnecessary essential oils in Luna as well). To be really clear: I'm not just saying that there are cheaper ways to approximate what's in Luna, I'm saying that there are actually slightly better ways of doing what Luna does AND that those are also cheaper. Similarly, I think Good Genes is fine but kind of overrated and definitely overpriced, and it has a few iffy ingredients (e.g. PEGs) that are not super hard to avoid if you're already looking in that price range. I do think that Luna and Good Genes are *good,* I just don't think they're holy grails at all. And for me, I don't really have triple-digit money to spend on things that aren't going to be holy grails.
Yes, it's a little pricy. Luna the retinol oil is my favourite retinol I have ever tried. No redness, no flakiness, no irritation. The good genes is hydrating to the point of almost not needing a moisturizer (but I do use one to lock in all the goodness at night). I noticed a difference in my skins texture almost immediately when I started using it. This has become a part of my regular routine and will be a part of my Sephora sale repurchases.
The full bottles are pricey so this is a perfect set to try out the products. Unfortunately for my bank account, my skin loves this product. I have sensitive skin and have a hard time finding brightening and smoothing products that don't irritate my skin. My skin felt noticeably softer and dewy after application. The next day my skin was glowing and smooth to the touch! I loved it. I finished the set after about a month of use and have seen great improvements in my skin texture and dark spots.
I was surprised how small this sample size kits was. It took several pumps before l could get the good genes lactic acid product into my hands. I liked this item but the amount you get the mini pump bottle does not justify the cost. The sleeping pill was blue in the bottle; however, went on clear. It was very greasy going on and took a long time to absorb into my skin. A little product goes a long way. Last year this kit was featured but the bottles were larger. I don't remember the price point; however, l will not repurchase last year because the sample sizes are smaller while the price was the same or possibly more. Very disappointing!
The Good Genes mini bottle was mostly empty. I understand that there is only 8 mL in the bottle, but because it's in an air-less pump bottle, you end up pumping the dispenser forever before any product comes out. I'm basically using the mini bottle as a travel container for my full-sized Good Genes. The retinol oil dropper bottle was fine. Not worth the money.
so.. I tried good genes befor as a trial zise and it left my face feeling so soft and hydrated, and I decided to buy this 2 as a night routine. BIG Fail!! My face broke out like crazy big huge pimples all over my jaw line and cheeks whith jn the first week. Even my husband said, whats going on with your face? are u doing anything different? thats when I realized the only thing different was this.. I stop using it still took about2 months for my face to clear up completely. leaving some "spot scars" that are still fading 5 months later... I gave the remaining product to my sister inlaw same thing happened within the first days and she thought it was her pms but I told her thats what happened to me she stopped using it and it went away... so idk.. maybe they change ... Moreso..
