I opted to pre-order Super Mario Wonder Exclusive Card Pack since Wal-Mart has continued to have a great reputation in being on top of video game pre-orders business at least for me personally. Super cute and vibrant Mario game. They gave Mario a spit and shine polish so to speak and it looks like the quality of the movie that came out recently, rather than the kind of choppy look from Super Mario Bros. Deluxe. Highly recommend this game to fellow Mario fans. Even if you don't have a lot of friends to play with, you can still play solo just fine. The plot isn't anything 'out there' for a Mario game, it sticks pretty true to the Mario style as well with some surprises as you go along. Some of my favorite new modes are from this game! I love the Elephant mode and the Hoppos so far.Well done Nintendo, keep it up!

Oh another thing I didn't care far was the palace boss battle, which was really just bowser jr over and over, and again it felt repetative and didn't feel any different from playing it on the DS or any other platform. I do hope down the line that Nintendo does release DLC for this game and add in more levels and no badge challenges. Oh and speaking of badges, the invisibility one wasn't one I wouldn't want in any game. I felt like I couldn't beat or play any levels that required that featured.

Let’s start with the art style. Wonder has a bright and colorful cartoony look befitting of a Mario game. This style really pops on a Switch OLED screen set to vivid mode. But it is really all of the little touches with the animations that catches your attention from characters going in and out of pipes to the running and jumping animations. This is what happens when you let a game cook. Controls are nice and tight. The wonder effects bring a new level of creativity and weirdness to Mario. My only complaint was the boss fights or sometimes the lack of a boss fight. Overall, this is solid 2D Mario experience.
